i got here an picture for u but the "'restart game" solotion won't work i re downloaded it 2 times won't work:S

1. eset nod32 antivirus 4.0.468.0
virus signature database: 5042

2. tes i have tried adding xtrp file into exceptions, i also tried adding the crossfire folder entirely into exceptions, and i ahve also tried to not add any of em into exceptions.

3. yes i ahve tried several times to disable ALL of my security programs and every others ways of making it work, like reinstalling and rebooting comps and stuff like that, none of them work. i still get the same error message

can you guys please help me ASAP i really love this game, i am new to it, and i really want to play it asap :P. THANK YOU

I haet this! I've been forced to play Cod4 for the last two weeks cause of the initiaalizing xtrap error. Super lame
1. Im running Mcafee. Yes i have tried turning off virus scan its xtrap itself that is being gay.
2. There is no way to do so with mcafee.
3. Yes and i must say i feel very uncomfortable doing so with a solely online game.

Ans 1: KAV 2009
Ans 2: Have done that
Ans 3: before I add it to exception list, I did disabled the KAV, and firewall.

The problem is -- I found the XTrap would not start when the process explorer is running -- This is a system internal /MS utility. I have it started during compuer start up. And need to turn it off every time to start the game -- I wish this can be fixed.

I wouldn't turn off my antivirus because it could cause my whole comp to crash

Turning antivirus off puts my comp in other threats like crashes, other people knowing your info, viruses, etc.

I do not suggest to use this method because it is dangerous and too risky

My problem is fixed

I had the problem "Failed to initialize x-trap engine" with crossfire's x-trap. But i fixed it by turning off Spy-ware Doctor that interfered with Crossfire somehow. So i had to shutdown Spy-ware Doctor & restart the computer, before i played Crossfire and then Crossfire works! Hope it helps.

This (probably) has NOTHING to do with Antivirus! Let's look in the RIGHT direction.

I REMOVED my antivirus to get at the root of this issue. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Crossfire. I also erased my Z8 and Subagames folders prior to this.

SAME PROBLEM.

I can't even get a server to load. Nothing. I've had this problem for months now.

you know for a fact this f.... anticheat (xtrap) not work correct!!!!For clearly so the program can't finish initialing- at step 7 of 87% stoped end Error is:Timed out waiting for initialing xtrap-engine,for more clearly my be i alone write this anticheat!!! Firewall, Kaspersky Exeptions

Hello, sorry for the trouble I can not get in game ... or I downloaded the whole game and started the patcher, but when I press "Start game" comes out this window that tells me that the game is stopped for reasons unknown to me.

It keeps disconnecting me and it says hack tool is detected(1). I have not hacked nor will I ever. Xtrap is getting really faulty compared to the last anti-hack system you guys had. Couldn't you go back to the older one?
