look 1 week ago i received a code field error that says something about closing external program that something was affecting game client so i unistal cross and i downloading again (sorry my english im portuguese)and instaled again and still the same error men im tired i even quit my clan dam i was loving playing cross fire but now i just dnt know how to do..and the worst is that i dnt know very well of computer so tha solutions that u guys post to me are chinese lol cuz i just dont understand and just give up...so if you could help me of any way plz answer me bye..ass LastView -

1.What Anti Virus program are you using ?
I am Using Bit Defender
2.Have you added any X-trap or game files to an exception list?
I have added crossfire to exception list.
3.3. Have you tried disabling the virus program during installation and running of the game?
Yes multiple of times -
There are known issues about conflicts with bitdefender.
As a test, can you uninstall bitdefender and then try to run the game to see if it works?
If so, then we'll have to investigate this program conflict further. If the game still doesn't run then we wil have to work to track down which other program this is in conflict with. -
just ran the patch and now i'm getting this X-Trap error.....
X-Trap is not taking the new patch nicely nor does it like it.
I got the same error and i want to know if it will be fixed when the servers come up or we have to redownload the game client ? -

have fun trying to redownload the game. i've been trying all 5 east coast mirrors since 4:30am, it's now just after 11am and every time my downloads get to about 80% the downloads stop responding. at one point firefox said it was going to take 10hrs to download. can't use the alternative sites because they take 10hrs to download as well as some don't have the newest version of crossfire on their systems so you end up downloading an old outdated crossfire version.
going to try and see if i get better luck with downloaded from a west coast server. :P even the bit torrent is min 2-3hrs but then it keeps causing my limewire to lose connection. -

Yes i disabled virus protection, spyware protection, system guards, and the fire wall.
I have played the fully updated version once, and now every time I want to play it tries to update, nothing happens then the X-trap and HGW pop up they dont do anything then it says File is changed: W[2007] L[2] -

Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program. please, close any program which is affecting game client. men i disabled avg and fire wall ive unistaled and instaled cross fire several times and whem something weired happened i enter in cross fire and played but with issues in sound game and freezing movement ok i exit them i try enter again and the code field error appears again for now i just cant enter anymore my windows is vista plz helpme... -
Errors, errors, and more errors.
I have narrowed the matter down to HGWC. It seems that it is not compatibile with Windows Vista, and maybe 7 also. I run HGWC.exe in compatibility mode for Win XP SP2, and it runs without the errors. Unfortunately, I have problems with my sound being distorted and breaking up all the time. Try it, if you don't like it then change it back. It won't hurt to try. Also, to be on the safe side, rename the Xtrap folder to say... Xtrap1, and then run the game. The files will re-install fresh, and it may also help, it has with me. I use Win Vista home Premium.
...\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\XTrap - rename folder for backup purposes, you can change back if re-installing fails.
...\Program Files\Z8games\CrossFire\HGWC.exe - run in compatibility mode.
You may have to take ownership of the files for crossfire before you can make any changes. To do this, right-click on the folder and go to properties, click on the security tab, click on Advanced option, Owner tab, Edit, select your login name for windows, check the Replace Owner.... box, and apply. -

No, I is not disabled my antivirus during installation, but I tried to disabled when you activate the game -

Ok well i had this problem for about 4 days and read about 10 forums and then people started talking about how theres a new client so i figured if you delete the crossfire.exe file from your directory and run the game again it patches and works fine . except now im getting XTRAP code Feild [02-0400-00000000-529] any solutions ? -

yes but regardless my antivirus still detects your game as trojans

no and asking me to do so is bullcrap. just send the data config to zonealarm so i can play again, im not gonna put my comp at risk to play a game i had no problems with before. ive also bought zp from u guys and being a paying customer i shouldnt have to disable anything, u guys should just fix it or change your antihack tools so they dont operate like trojans (gameguard doesnt cause problems like this) -
After I click "Start Game" the download patch double loading bar thingy flickrs and doesn't fill up at all. Then when my game gets to the HGW loading bar it either stalls at 71% or 85%. Then that flickrs away and I see the big picture with the two soldiers and then I get an X Trap error that says:
"CODE_FIELD [30-0400-00000000-505]
The game execute file is not normal or an abnormal memory access has been detected."
Please help! -

after the patch and xtrap comes to step 10 it show me the same
