1. What Anti Virus program are you using?
Avast
2. Have you added any xtrap or game files to an exception list?
I added it to the exception list on my fire wall to check still it don't work. In my opinion some one hacked X-Trap and it don't work for xp users
3. Have you tried disabling the virus program during installation and running of the game? Yes I turned it off shut it down and reinstalled it Its X-Trap thats messed up and its not my anti virus or anythings fault I uninstalled all the anti virus trust me its X-Trap thats messed up -

hi there i got same problem i dont have antivirus (its disabled) and i got acn rooter i tried to put exception on rooter but there is no port (only names of application) you guys would happen to know wich port we must forward or what game uses same ports?) -
X-Trap Error code field!!!
1. Norton Antivirus system and antimalware.
2.No i dont even know how to add or remove X-trap files.
3.Yes i tried disabling it but still doesnt work.
My computer is Emachines 1gb of ram and 320 hardware memory Windows vista home premium.

i played cross fire for 3 days and everything was just fine..
when suddenly i get this error !

I use ThreatFire...i disable my Windows Firewall and my anti virus...i reinstal the cross fire...

Hey dumb fk look here they have to give a danm if they want money i spend over 50 bucks most months in this game if they want to keep making money they better give a fk alot of people enjoy this game like my self and we pay money to advance our gaming and if we cant open our danm game then u think were gonna stay around long? NO so CF please fix this issue as fast as possible unlike some people i belive u guys do care i know ur trying to fix it but there is alot i mean alot of people this is happening to some of my friends said they have already found diffrent games and entill CF is fixed there gonna stay there depending on how much they enjoy the new games they our trying out they may not come back idk... i have thot of trying diffrent games but CF is my fav fps and i really do not wanna leave after ive done put alot of danm time and money in this game once again Fix CF plz! -

lol 31+ pages of information - 3 days of down time and still no fix
this commotion is going to casue me to go back to playing counter strike or combat arms
i has brilliant idea how about xtrap reverts to a previous version fo theer update files like back in december or so -

I got the exact same code as you man. As soon as X-Trap finished its update, I couldn't play CF. Please get X-trap fix this problem. Ever since the Eastern Slaughter came, it didn't even let me have ONLY 2k gp. How stingy is that? However, if you do a $20 transaction, you got your zp RIGHT AWAY. LOL? -

hgw loading 87% stops hour glass runs a few times long pause about 5 to 15 seconds
mail to xtrap
code feild 02 0400 somthin 701
error the
"game module cannot load correctly"
after a few minutes
hgcw game watcher timed out "waiting for xtrap to initialize"

commodo -
added entire z8 foldler
as my safe files for deffense +
and for firewall added entire z8 folder as fully trusted
reinstalled same effect tried to double run before time out
dllhost errored comp rebooted under log out
on reboot fatal error in dllhost as far as i could tell
reimaged the pc uninstalled crossfire redownloaded from mirror 1 east coast
reran the game same problem repeated
commodo log shows
app(crossfire) action (access memory) target (commodo internet security/cmdagent.exe)
which i believe is commodo's main deffense proccess on 4/4/2010
when i got the problem
however it has showed this routinly in the past with no problems for the game
looks like crossfire likes to screw with my firewall and its backfired this time
maybe monkeying around with other peoples firewalls isnt good for a game to do
on 3/1/2010 crossfire accessed cfpupdate which is my firewalls updating program
im pretty sure so exactly why is crossfire accessing my firewall no other game i have does this in fact since febuary 2nd this is the only app besides commodo that has attempted to access commodo's memory for cmdagent.exe im starting to seriously wonder why and i want to know for i spend more money on your game -

Hi there. I didn't this all the posts in this forum about X-trap so i will put here my problem xD
Today i had an update of X-trap and after that update it appeared this error message
In the same time i was updating the Firefox browser.

As for Solutions to the problem.
First make sure your running Cross Fire in administrator mode.
McAffee has updated their program and should no longer detect any CF Files are false positives.
Some free virus scanners are detecting some CF files as trojans. This is a FALSE POSITIVE. CF Contains no malicious files.
Make sure to disable your virus scanner during all phases of the game. Download, Installation and Running. At the very least as a test to see if the game functions normally under these conditions.
We are specifically looking to see if there is a common anti virus program that is causing these errors while the game is running.

These threads may contain helpful hints to getting your Cf running.
Lastly, Xtrap has been known to conflict with SOME video caputuring and voice communication software. Skype, Fraps etc. may not run properly or conflict with the game when running. Make sure to try and close those extra programs down when running CF. Again, as a test to see if the game will function without them.
We will be looking for Xtrap updates that will fix some of these compatibility issues, but right now we need to collect as much data as possible.

I am going to say this, I have been playing Crossfire for over a year, and here you guys go after you cause a problem and you want US the clients to start poking around and turning off programs that have been fine meaning (Anti Virus, Xfire) so we are all to change our system setup for a problem you guys caused instead of you fixing and Solving the issue you caused since yesterday? I am getting this problem as well and I will be damned if im going to spend anymore time troubleshooting my system when I KNOW It is not ME!
you guys know this as well but wont admit it!!
I am a IT tech and a Quad certified MCP and MCSE and i ve been working on computers and troubleshooting for 15 years this is a issue from something Xtrap downloaded and changed since last night when I played last , Ive never had this issue ever before!
I didn't change anything , and its not on SND exception list the bottom line is someone needs to fess up say hey I screwed up! and fix it!
Its dangerous to have users who have limited knowledge of their system go and change things that have been working fine before a change your company/ Xtrap made!
I understand the need to remove hacks from the game, but blocking half of the clientele out isnt the way to do it. -

Yea but it still takes a long time to load x trap and says the same error.. :S
plz fix this problem xD
