XTrap Error fixes and Data Collection

I have been suffering under this problem for quite some time, but now I've got it. I understand that this may not be the case for some of you, but for me, McAfee has been the large pain.

For those that may have trouble with disabling McAfee Security Center...


Double-click the taskbar icon to open the Security Center
Click Advanced Menu (lower left)
Click Configure (left)
Click Computer & Files (upper left)
VirusScan can be disabled on the right.

Xtrap update Fix

To fix this go to contral panel then user accounts, and then creat a new user account. Make sure you check computer administrator. Log off and log on the new account you've created. click on crossfire and it should work Now.

got the same problem (on windows 7). i tried to disable antivirus and firewall but still this f**** message appears everytime i try to run the game.plz someone help

I fixed this problem by downgrade Internet Explorer to ver.6 But now i have other problem...

HELP!,this error stuffed up my crossfire as well as my brother's. I click start game, then i see the mutant wallpaper for 2 seconds then it exits giving this error.

I've reinstalled the game for both computers, disabled firewalls and antiviruses, and other suggested solutions. I also tried closing any possible background processes running that could be affecting it.

Has anyone got this error????

Okay. I have. If You have Windows XP you need install Service Pack 3. This is the answer.

Hello, this is my first time on this forum...

I downloaded the game but he dosen't works...


1- I'am Using Avast! 4.8 home edition


2- Yes, i included crossfire at my firewall exeptions list

3- I tried too much times, all fail =(

This Problem Is Easy To Solve... Seen Many People Have The Problem...

1) Disable Anti-Virus
2) Go To Desktop
3) Right Click
4) Click Properties
5) Click Settings
6) Click Advanced
7) Click TroubleShoot

Drag The Bar To Full.

This Is The Common Solution For Some People...

This keeps on happening
It says CODE_FIELD [02-0300-00000000-603]
The bottom say: Game cannot run properly due to insufficient system resources. Restart the system.
But everytime I do restart it it keeps saying that

i jsut reviewd this and it looks like most ppl have bitdefender 2010 like me and otherrs 2009
id say just uninstall bit defender and try runing the game but if your not safe with going on-line without a anti-virus..un-install it and re-install it maby somthing like a permission has changed its self becuase we all know bitdefender has its moments :P

this is my problem when i start the game x-trap means that my files are wrong, but i download the patch normaly. i have try so much like reinstall or close avira and xfire.

okay listin up people who are running BITDEFENDER uninstall bitdefender and when you have it re-installed DO NOT UPDATE this is vital becuase the new bitdefneder update wont let you run Crossfire its gay yeh i know my dad wouldnt let me not update it >:/ i have to wate for bitdefneder to respond to my rant about their crappy software lol

I've tried everything. I have a machine with 2 hard drives. One is XP 32 bit, the other XP 64 bit. I change the first boot drive in the BIOS to use the drive other than the one I'm on at the time. Anyway CF has never given me any problem on the 32 bit. Period. I didn't use to give me any problem on the 64 bit, I think until the xtrap was added. Ive gone thru all teir "suggestions". ( I run the 64 bit as administrator only) I even added sign on accts to see if their was a problem there. Still doesnt work. The program loads fine. The program starts fine - well I get the openeing screen. But when I click START to start the game the little xtrap screen comes up for a bit then goes away, then about a minute later an error message comes up saying it timed out. And that's that. Ive reloaded, redownloaded, added drivers, changed virus programs, etc etc etc. Again its not hardware because the 32 bit has always worked and the 64 bit used to work. I may now try to disable everything and anything else that is running and allow the computer to still function and redownload and load, but hey - I doubt that will fix it either. Ive written tech support 500 times I think and all they do is refer me here where I see no answers.

Same "timed out" problem here - for MONTHS. Still wont run the game. But after reading a lot of this thread I kind of wonder what it is that Z8games is doing. They are telling everyone to turn off their antivirus, etc etc. What exactly is Z8 installing everywhere and why? Something virus programs stop for SOME reason? Perhaps the reason is Z8Games continual statement that their program doesnt contain a virus is, well, A LIE. Perhaps they are in fact installing something stealing information. Who the ***** knows. Interesting though.
