Are you ACTUALLY serious?
The familiar things between the two:
-White main background
-Bits of black on it
-Bits of another colour
Different things:
-Everything else.
Yes, it may have been an initial inspiration, but then in that way: all cars are the same as the Ford Model T. You stole your name from Chigaco Town. All songs are exactly the same (after all, they're ALL made up of the same 8 notes right?).
It was extremely well done, they answered the design brief, provided all the files requested and all they get is salty kids crying and telling them they stole it//it was "easy" to win? That's a low blow, even from you. -

Thats all good but Im just wondering why an obviously copied skin won first place? I mean, Isnt the whole point of this event to be creative on your own?
There's a difference between copying artwork, and being visually inspired by artwork. Being inspired by something and making your own still involves an equal amount of creativity and detail involved. Sometimes designers come up with similar ideas and it may resemble another piece- but that does not mean it's copied, a similar brainstorm may have been involved. Who's to say what the approach was but regardless- as Grumpy stated, we requested original .PSD Files and they were thoroughly reviewed by our team and verified as original designs. -

Reading through the comments on this thread is disappointing to say the least. As a community when did we become so selfish? So abusive and accusatory? Can we no longer be happy for other people for the work they've done?
It's a sad day in that regard. I am truly disappointed in a lot of people.
In this modern day and age, we as people are far more concerned about our own being instead of our neighbours. It is time we all reflected on ourselves.

There was a reason the winners were chosen. Perhaps they are going through struggles of their own in real life. The $500 might mean a lot more to them than it may to you.

Stop Removing people Post for no bloody reason, My last one you removed for what? I posted my Gun replying to GMCinder about Inspiration is not Copying based on that CS Gun what the problem with that ? MOD
This is my Gun as GMCinder stated The one who made that AWM similar to CS AWP is inspiration not copy so mine is what ? Stop removing for no reason -

Yes, in my opinion the AWP and AWM could be judged as copies. The problem is not that the creator wasn't original enough according to the forumers. I think that the problem is that the rule regarding to these things was not accurate enough to be clear.

Firstly, I've been here for a long time, I call it how I see it. Having some random kid tell me not to isn't going to change it. I am professional, but if I am disappointed and upset because of how people are acting (salty) I'm going to say it. You don't know the forums, or the people I'm talking to. So please don't accuse me of things that you have no idea about.

Professional? Anyone else remember that this is JUST a GAME. Remaining Professional applies only to the GMs and MODs because they are the ONLY ones that are getting PAID....and they have NOT been acting professional. by banning and deleting posts of their gamers that have been posting honest opinions. Remember these GAMERS PAY YOU. Like I stated previously Crossfire is a product and relies on consumers to purchase that product. GMs need to quit being scared and let people voice their frustrations...it will eventually blow over...just calm don't get so butt-hurt GMs and MODs it is not personal. -
