Collection thread - ongoing connection issues after December update
Hello all,
First of all my apologies if I don't answer all the threads opened regarding the failed to connect issues. In order to investigate the cause, we need your help to find any pattern.
EDIT: Currently, we found an issue summed up for players who cannot login at all in the game and get following errors:
- "Failed to connect to server"
- "The server you are trying to join is currently full. Please try later." (Before actually getting to the server selection)
- "Failed to connect to server : W[2003] L[0]"
If you have one of those errors, please try to restart your router/modem. Try retrieve a new IP address if you can.
Other players cannot connect to certain servers. Those players seem to get stuck for certain servers at step 2 and get following error:
- "MM Server Connection Failed"
Most common are NA1, UK1 and UK4, but other servers are reported too.
If you receive this error, we recommend as well to try to restart your router/modem. Try retrieve a new IP address if you can.
If this doesn't solve the issue, we would like you to contact you provider, if our game servers get block by your IPS. Your Internet provider technical service can help you check the connection.
Update 01/22/2015 12:30 pm EST: Please check if the connection issues are solved for you. Additional, if friends of you had website issues, please ask them to use the pages they had issues with. Thank you!

- error message (screenshot)
- location: (city/state/country)
- IPS (internet provider):
- IP address:
- operation system: (Windows version)
- channels you cannot connect to:
- channels you are able to connect to:
EDIT: For further troubleshooting please try to login CrossFire from a different IP address, for example from a friend’s house, and let us know if you have the same connection issues.
If so, please note the IP address so we can report the issue further.

reinstalled many times, even changed ip, still doesn't work -
patch issues
Is there also an issue with downloading the current patch? i have high speed internet but the patch is going so slow. i've been downloading for almost 20 minutes now and only have 1.51 mb downloaded which is insane....everything else is loading fine so i think its something on the server's end. -

I cant join in NA server 1 (i cant even see the channel from this server)

all channels in all servers (except NA server1 ) -
cant even sign into game
my isp is rock soild internet im in south texas in the united states of america
soon as the game loads to the log in screen a pop up with no error code comes up saying failed to connect to server.
this started today i was able to play yesterday so i dont know if its patch related as i am able to type this i think my internet is up at normal levels. -

As little update, we do experience some minor network issues with our servers and the team is working on resolving those.
Please keep sending/updating your support request if you experience server connection issues as described before.

Can the cf team get anything right with this game? My god its every week something is messing up and not to mention all the **** laggers in the game hacking all day long! Here is an idea fix your ****?????? BTW Xtrap obviously does NOT work or there wouldn't be hacks in the game!!!! No wonder the servers along with this game are dead!!!! Now what you gonna ban me or take away my honorable soldier status for being honest and saying what everyone is thinking and talking about in game? Wouldn't be the first time cf has done it to ppl!!!

When did ever anybody get banned for expressing their opinion?
X-Trap is not our only system to detect hackers and the hacking team is constantly working on optimizing those tools.
The current server issue are connected to network issues that the team in question is currently investigating.
We as support team do what we can to make sure that every team is informed about occurring issues and is working on resolving those. -
I'm not sure if I've found a solution, or if i got lucky, but I'm gonna share this anyway and see if it helps other people. I've scoured the interwebs to try to see if this has happened before. I saw someone on another forum suggest using a VPN thingy (spotflux was suggested). I downloaded it and now i can join whatever server i want, including NA 1 which i havent been able to log into since the update. Maybe it was a fluke or maybe it works. Try it. Spread it if it works.

Because I've been using the hell out of it and it's the only way i can log into the game right after a huge update, of which one of the main things is a LOGIN BONUS. Sooooo, am i gonna get banned if i keep using it? cuz its not like the aimbots in egypt, its just something i have to use to play the game.
