  • I actually am in-favor of giving people in-game banning rights.

Auto-save the replay on ban. Have a separate moderator check the replay afterward. If they were not, in fact, cheating, then you unban them and ban your watchdog.

It's a great idea, I know people will say "omg people will abuse it", but so what? Limit the number of bans to once per 10 minutes. Let's say they sit on banning a random person every 10 minutes. 6 people per hour, 8 hours go by and you have fewer than 50 people banned.

A mod should have gotten on by then, and simply checks the replays. It will take 15 minutes or so to check all of them (I know this; I did ESG stats).

This will drastically diminish the number of cheaters.

Or just, you know, give in-game mods powers to IP ban people shooting through walls.

Also, a note: avoid giving people like PimpDemNikes (those with anger issues) this power.

Did you only do the 1st week of playoffs? You never did the stats when I had the highest kd in the league (or never posted it :()

But I agree, don't give it to pimp. Although it's nice he wants to improve the game, I'm sure he'd end up banning people that may not cheat

A timed system like this one makes sense.

Alright, before we get carried away here. The cheaters are back. Do something about it before people that came back to the game in the past week leave again.

Mav said something about it before and I always thought that it would be a great idea. Give me in-game banning rights. Yeah, it sounds a little crazy but here's the thing. You're risking absolutely nothing. I'm only going to ban the obvious cheaters, either using shotguns and killing people through walls or just straight up aimbotting. If there's even slightest doubt, I'm not going to ban that person. I would document every cheater and save the replay in case someone complains. Come on now, you've got absolutely nothing to lose. You can go ahead and ban my account I spent $2k+ on. I pub at least an hour or two, sometimes more depending on how much time I have. The game is becoming impossible to play again, you have to do something about it asap.

A person that spews racial slurs at random, racially unidentified people in game just because they are mad, definitely lacks the integrity needed to be responsible with that kind of privilege.

But I am no one to tell you this.

With multiple in-game legitimacy moderators, at your estimated 15 minutes to review a replay, the few people that are responsible for checking replays would be given hours of replays worth of video to review and when considered in a real life perspective, would take way to many hours out of a 24 hour day to be efficient enough for actual progress instead of giving replay reviewers endless hours of work that will eventually be avoided with the free download of CF 2.0's improved anti-cheat and game engine.

This simply wouldn't work because it would be put into place in a giant pub environment with a hacker in every other game (as of the current status of the game) and not in the ideal competitive environment of a few matches that can easily be regulated.

I'm not trying to shoot your idea down, it was a great one; but, in realistic terms, it wouldn't work as well as it would in theory.
  • Well it seems like somethings changed.

    http://tournament.z8games.com/

    No longer works.

However you're spending more time on here talking about what you will do, instead of actually doing it. And if you are actually doing it, tell us your actually doing it instead of telling us what you will do. Does that make sense?
  • You kids are autistic if you think I would ban someone I don't like and risk getting my account, which I spent enough money to buy your cars for, banned.

****, bad comparison. You are a bunch of low lives that get around by getting rides.

I was clearly talking about people who are sitting in spawn killing **** through walls and extremely obvious aimbotters. I don't really care about any other cheaters out there. At least not in pubs. The kids shotgunning everything through walls make it literally impossible to pub. WH users on the other hand are pretty much harmless.

You spent 2k on a single game, I'm not sure if I should laugh, cry, applaud, or just end life.

****, I had such a great comeback typed out but my ****ing phone died, oh well.

    Do kill yourself though, please.

Please elaborate further, so if its a scrim you would ban non-blatant "cheaters"?

You kids are so ****ing stupid. For the last time, I would only ban the most obvious cheaters, the ones shooting people through walls with shotguns and blatant 300 ping aimbotters spinning all over the place.

Head, you were never really bright, I hope you get it this time.

As for cheaters in scrims, I don't think I've played a cheater in a scrim before. Must've been tastylimes or andrej openly cheating 4 years ago.

    Calm down cutie.
