I think the izgangster people originally had a plan to be a strong force, and they had a decent lineup, but I imagine life got in the way and forced them to give that up.
Honestly, I think you hit on something important though. There isn't enough incentive to actually put time into the game to try and accomplish something anymore. People only come back when there is a major tournament/LAN because it gives them an actual goal to work toward.
The people who play competitive without trying to accomplish anything are probably the same people who live life without trying to accomplish anything I suppose. -

I simply played competitive for it's word "competitive". That doesn't mean I need to win something to get an award to show people. I also don't find it worth wasting my school time to participating in tournaments which result in not even 1/5 of minimum wage. -
Maybe turn na5 into a clan server that lets you come back into the room and gives you more room options. Keep the clan server but make a scrim server. That would probably bring a few clans right into na5 and make them more interested in competitive cf.
or even like pineapplehead said, have some type of a token you can only get in scrim channel/scrim points that will let you get stuff that you can't normally get with zp. -
Purvis, Actually they are leaving because the prizes of the items,VIP weapons, and they are changing to CFEU(i know its not allowed to insert another game in the official site of game) but they need more events. and competitives and to promote the competitive scene! and more events they will join and streams.

Oh word, theres so much potential for improvement here.Advertise would help so much, used to see a lot now I don't. The game has enough money and is large enough to do so, so why don't we?
Be it adwords, buying likes and shares on facebook, paying for youtube reviews, taking in-game advertising, sponsor deals with gear suppliers for tournaments..
So much to be done, so little being done. -

Out of curiosity, do they still advertise on Youtube? Because that's how I found the game in the first place in 2009/2010. Not exactly sure WHEN I started the game, but i know it was in a March in one of those two years. I haven't seen a CF ad on youtube in almost 6months. i saw 1-2 for a little bit back around the CFS earlier in 2014. -
I don't see any new players who are playing for the 1st time sticking around at all. Anyone can barley play the game because of all the hackers. Only real game time ppl get are when scrims are available.
The clan page goes hard for alot of ppl, if we can mix it into the competitive side somehow.. might have more than enough teams. -
I very much doubt it, but can't say for sure. dun use youtube.PZEDDDDDDDDD wrote: »Out of curiosity, do they still advertise on Youtube? I heard of the game by word of mouth (on a forum), which is usually great if it had been an already established game, but it wasn't - it was new and I've never read about it anywhere else on the internet since, except the top 10 earners article. -

if there's no room for improvement in this game, who in their right mind would play it, especially competitively? if the devs don't care about fixing bugs and chiming in on user input, why would competitive players continue to support this game? makes no sense. as long as no improvements are being made, there will be less and less players playing, aside from cheating egyptians, that is. -
It might be obvious but this game just cannot be competitive in NA. The player base for NA is small, CS:GO is just a much better alternative compared to CF. The maturity of players is pathetic. It's not the amount of tourneys that is making this game dead, it is the player base. The game is not even remotely fun, it is a game where you will get to somewhat interact with a couple guys over the internet but no one that you actually know in real life. The reason why I play league is because my friends in real life play it, same goes to CS:GO.

Hold on... Lets take a step back here, mods r u srs right now?
Have you played your own game these past years even? All it takes is for you to run around in a single pub to realize how terrible this game is:
-join a pub, instant hack tool detected while some egy mohammed pro is pumping a shotty at your face 3 maps away
-run towards a wall, end up going through it and falling through the map kicking you out of the room
-shoot a head for 28
-shoot a head for 27
-shoot a head for 0
-"payments" by these "leagues" havent got paid out since 6+ MONTHS
-same rearded cesspool of a community
-no one can beat inst
-when you open up to run the ac by esl it ****ing feels like youre defragmenting from how ridiculous the frames are
-ESG runs a NATIONAL TOURNEY and their ac looks like a 4th grader made it with broken links and smiley faces
-esg>esl (lol thats saying something)
-"default times" in matches are never default buth rather 1hr after due to everyones client crashing/breaking/updating/reinstalling/etc
-tourney admins are almost always mia when **** hits the fan
-biased, and unfair ruleing in leagues if it came down to it (ghosting, ace-fav, etc)
-id play this game with 70 ping one day, then a steady 105 the next
**** game/10 -
And that is just the half of it.Seriously if you need to ask others how to make game better then you know NOTHING about it. I am surprised that ANYONE would be remotely interested in this game after running the gauntlet of rookie server. That is enough to put anyone off.If that is an introduction to crossfire then the game has no chance.Everything about crossfire now is unbalanced.I do not think it can be fixed if you have to ask what needs doing because you are just not looking.Hold on... Lets take a step back here, mods r u srs right now?

I might suggest another look at OPs questions before this gets derailed further and closed.
Go ahead, do it poo-c.
Mad because your "mod" ass only "mods" like the 20 ******s that play this game?
why not look at what people are raging about because its been the same sh1t for the past 3+ years, pleb, and you "mods" are still lost.
0 respect for you guys anymore for being so brainless, outdone, and above all, pretentious as fug. -
