It's not going to hurt anything by helping with the presidential cup when it's just a small cup that's almost over. -
im pretty sure saidan is all for helping any league or tournament, as long as it produces enough positive feedback, and a continuous lifecycle.
In all reality, the competitive aspect of crossfire north america is player produced and player run, so I encourage all new players to keep joining the community(developing and competing) and all players running tourneys/league to continue running them, the prizes will eventually get better with more consistent leagues and cups. Dry runs and launches for no prizes, should be played by all and as many players/teams and possible.
Keep the trolling to a minimum, and constructive criticism towards new teams is very helpful.
1 great idea is top tier players, should create alts and join developing teams, to help the teams grow. suko does that often i believe, I also did that with some teams. i encourage other players to do that too. -

Hi Sadin,
Thanks first for for taking the time to address some of my points.
Who said we have business issues? Casually the game is as strong now as it has ever been.
You have just as many players from across the globe, but you have lost a huge percentage of the North American participation that you once had. I have been here from the (North American) beta and have seen the change and watched my clan-mates quit this game 1 by 1. Slowly my friend list dwindled to next to nothing. This was my point about costing you significantly. That you did not "see" a reduction in sales does not mean you did not lose customers and significant revenue potential.
However if you would like to talk about business issues then we have to talk about ROI. And at current the ROI on investing on staff to dedicate to run the side of the game we're talking about here is not an option, because that would be a bad business decision.
I see. This puts things into perspective.
The game was created 10+ years ago and is based on an engine that is easily compromised. We had an anti-cheat established for use for the WCG qualifiers. But players complained because it picked up cheats on their computers. We know for a fact that it did because we found all the necessary evidence in the scans. No one wanted to admit it and the only way we could solve the problem was to release the source code of the anti cheat. Which by the way is a brilliant way to invalidate the process.
WOW!
There are players here, who consider themselves legit, who are reading this right now who know that they have either recently or earlier hacked in the game. In the case of the MyAC we discovered those things, but everyone just denied it.
More Wow!
Obviously pushing the issue would have cost you customers. Only you can be the judge as to whether that was the correct decision or not.
Perhaps customers like this are like an employee of mine (of 20 years) that stole from me. One way or another a customer or employee such as this will cost you. I fired then prosecuted my issue.
I'd like to just point out the previous example that we had an anti cheat that no one believed.
I believed it and my team also believed it when the WOGL clowns got busted. One so called "pro sniper" doesn't play any more. We also had a couple of players (in clan) that suggested they were innocent and that the anti cheat was flawed. One player was removed while another (a long time member and close friend to all involved at the time) was not (not my choice). Needless to say I feel your pain!
At the moment, a paid only separate server is not an option. Not to mention it wouldn't stop people from hacking on that server either.
We are not burning money, but we are willing to support (yes support does mean money in some cases) leagues and tournament organizers who want to take up the banner and start something.
If you have any suggestions on that we're all ears!
Suggestions strictly off the cuff?
At a clan war or pub pickup level a potential solution may be to have a community tribunal (similar to LOLs). I think it could be configured in such a way as to cultivate a dedicated core of competitive members. Members suspecting a cheat could send in a review to the tribunal at the cost of GP/ZP. If the review comes back with a cheater stamp the member will not be charged for the service. Either way the tribunal member could receive account credits for the work done. Perhaps 3 experienced reviewers make the final decision? Obviously much more thought and detail required.
Offering an honest player exclusive access to a place relatively free from cheats would both create a sense of prestige as well as fostering anti-cheating clans and community in general. I'm not sure about the complexity of a designated or pay server, but there are dead or at least near dead servers that could be put to good use?
If this worked tournaments could evolve and be manged from here.
Off the cuff concept only and much more input is required.
Like other players here I feel a great deal of aggravation toward the cheats here. I would like to do my bit to help make a difference.

Agreed. But money can only be generated by an increase in the number of players. It's a full circle cycle. So people need to have an interest in the game and because cf rarely advertises, we need to be the ones to increase the player base.
you have to spend money to make money.
