Well he can get a Nvidia 480 but he'll need a 750W power supply.

My brother uses my gaming desktop. I gave it to him. My laptop plays most games fine. Especially CF. But I was wondering for editing purposes, because obviously my graphics card was not compatible with certain programs.
How would I "tweak" for pc gaming...
?
P.S. I do not want to overclock my laptop.I know. Thank you for the website. It will help with a few things I was actually looking for answers to.

blackviper's windows7 configuration is what u can use to tweak.
go for the tweak version or barebone.
use jetClean to clean your registry, and use Gamebooster or jetBoost to boost your application performance.
Disable indexing maybe.
your laptop is near the top of the line. so not much u can do but clear out all the junk wares. use only MS security essential and Ad-aware. -

About 100 -150$ would be my budget, although I won't be hesitate to shell out abit money if it's a good deal.

Definitely gonna purchase it if my PSU can handle it. Although reviews mention the card tends to overheat, might have to get a cooler for that

Giggletron, my HP Pavillion dv5 notebook has his keyboard broken, 5 letters do not work and I went to a shop and they got me a new kayboard so they could put it on this one but what they received was the black keyboard, after waiting for that Keyboard for 3 months they told me that my computer is a special silver version and that they do not make more of these keyboards so I can't repair it;
so if you can find a website that can possible getting me one (ships to Portugal) which I highly doubt you will (or even bother which is normal) since they told me that I couldn't but it's Portugal, incompetence level is over 9000 no matter what.
anyways, I am using the keyboard of my old desktop which is working perfectly so how can I disable the touchpad and the keyboard that is implemented on the laptop so the only one in use is my Keyboard and Mouse which are connected by the same usb pen?

I would only recommend a GTX 560 Ti or better, that's what I have.
Or a AMD HD 6800 series or better.
Anything less means you will need to buy another GPU one year later. -
Are you good with Mumble junk? Because when I start Mumble everything else plays through the speakers except for the voices of others. The TTS even plays through the speakers... I can't fix it. Exclusive is unchecked, my device is correct, I could not set the headphones to the default device, only the def. comms. device. I got it to work when I use to have Mumble but I've wiped my HDD recently to get rid of so much junk, etc. so I had to re-dl it. Now when I run it this problem occurs.

You need to not only defragment your harddrives, but also
OPTIMIZE your harddrive(s), which windows does not do for you.
You need to download DISKTUNE or one of the other softwares that will OPTIMIZE your harddrive for you.
It will take hours and hours to optimize a harddrive but totally necessary if you have never done so. -
