Alot better. You could prob OC it to 5 ghz with ease.

Should be better but only would save ya the cash in the long run IF you don't have to buy a new mobo to support that chipset.

You get what ya pay for. As for CF I suppose he will get by. Not sure he is gonna come close to seeing max. But should be able to get him at least ingame and playing. 8v8 maybe a little bit of a struggle.

Also I haven't seen some of those part's in a long time. Blast from the past.

Also sorry for the slow response. Sometimes I am around the boards alot. Often times I no where to be found.

Yea ik there a little dated, them removing that combo deal really screwed me over lol. I couldn't get to a 4xcore with only $320.

Also the only one they had was some Black edition, and if i remember right ive heard they really suck.

Not to mention its a 125w chip So im pretty sure u need a special mobo for that( not totally sure about that). Its been a LONG time since ive built one from scratch. So idk everything about the differant setups like i used to. So i built a "decent" one that he can add to later ( like RAM and so forth if its not fast enough for him).

Since my fps is complete crap now, if reformatting doesn't improve anything I'll be building a computer

I know nothing about computers so I don't know what to buy, hoping someone help with what parts to buy.

Price range would be around $800

Not looking for amazing computers, just to play crossfire with 200+ fps in 8v8 rooms.

Reformatting wont do much if anything... dont expect a miracle.

You dont need to know anything, buy the parts and they each come with instructions... its just a 3D puzzle you have to be careful with... put each component into their respective slots. Its easier than people make it out to be.

My friend, with $800 you could have a beast of a PC.

Hey, I have this old hard drive with OEM OS. I'm getting a new hard drive and would like to know if I can reformat the old hard drive and then install OEM OS on the new hard drive using the reinstallation DVD OEM.

Yes, you can do that.

You can indeed do that, but make sure you don't have two instances of Windows enabled in your bios at the same time. As removing one of those later down the line can cause multiboot issues if you forget to disable the correct one first.

Ok well i built this PC http://forum.z8games.com/showpost.php?p=3382502&postcount=489 And now.....It wont freakin start!!!!!! Any ideas? ive tried everything (removing all non essential hardware) I'm not even getting a mobo beep but it all seems to be getting power. I'm guessing they sent me a bad mobo but before i send it back anyone else have any ideas?

Nvm i figured it out......dang 12v connector.

It will be a nice upgrade for me. A 100 dollar SSD just did not have the space for me and cutting down and i5 or my graphics card would be so stupid.
