Lol, I have a dell desktop computer- you know how the power button is green when it's on? Yeah well mine shuts off completely and the green light becomes orange.
It can stay off for days or weeks even months and then just turn on. I even unplugged it and it still turned on <---No that is not a lie it was really creepy.
So yeah...my question is, my desktop is the devil? or why does itself on and off.
i miss my desktop Also, my dell laptop has a internal LCD break, is it easy to change screens yourself ? Dell wants to charge me 400$+ service fee's. -

Yeah, I'll never buy through them again. Paid 500$ extra for their warranty just to find out the warranty doesn't cover internal lcd breaks, so they wanna charge me 400$+ to fix...
On a better note, anyone have an idea whats wrong with my desktop? -read previous post for details -

What exactly happens when you turn it on? How far into booting does it go? -

That's just the thing, when it's on it runs amazing. But then it'll shut itself off after a few days or a week and then not come back on for awhile and the power button turns orange. -

Probably overheating.. the CPU will shut itself off if it risks melting itself xD
Or an issue with the motherboard... kind of hard to determine. But its definitely a hardware problem and its not the Hard Drive... -

How can it still run if u turn it power off, if it is a desktop?
For your laptop u can take it to a local computer repair shop, ask for an estimate. -

And they want 250$ to repair the screen. -
