and yes words like gay, gaylord beaner, coon, chinc, jew boy, cracker, etc should have been long banned before noob was, they are stilll allowed and being used. Why?

This idea is terrible. Only a completely insecure idiot would uninstall something and never play it again if they're called something so small as "noob". I mean, I've never heard of that and it's ridiculous. There can be many reasons why they got rid of it, but your idea definitely isn't one of them. Z8 time and time over has showed they could care less if people left. I have witnessed many people, who are avid customers, rant and complain on the forums because they have a patch error or something so they can't play the game, only for Z8 to not care at all and have the moderators delete the threads. They do not care at all and I could have many many people take my side with that statement.

Yes- I agree. I asked people to stay civilized when posting replies in another post. My main complaint now is that someone other than you, Giggletron, changed my title to something that makes hardly any sense.
I can't figure out if it's stating that it's my theory why Z8 blocks the words they do- or if it's my theory that the words Z8 blocks are odd.
So puzzling...
Edit: I would also like to thank for policing my thread from all-to-common rages. Kept it clean and professional- I appreciate your work.

Ill change it back. I cant see why it was done. But I dont see much life left in this thread anymore if im going to get responses like I have been.

Yeah like these old words from a very long time like i wanted to say *** instead of **** but when i attempted it failed and only said ???. I was a bit surprised they also banned noob. But another way say n00b.
Last time i tried to say to someone like "But its good!" but i totally forgot the **** word which is also a rude word that failed my sentences. This is stupid. -

The reason is rather complex, and not one that Z8 would really care to explain. But it all has to do with business.
Like any company, a business needs a way to earn money. Whether it be through physical purchasing, services, online goods or whatever, every company needs money to stay open. Z8's method is by offering you ingame perks for purchasing Z8 points. You rarely get anything permanent with your Z8 points, which many people are outraged about, but there's a very clever marketing reason behind it. Z8's philosophy is that if someone has $20 to buy 20000 ZP, they will have another $20 to buy 20000 more.
It's no accident that the Black Market is so tempting to fork all your ZP into and get very little in return. The overall idea is that you need to give the player reasons to buy more, like the reason of wanting to buy 25 crates for your beloved Gatling Gun over and over again until the weapon is won, even if your odds are 1/10000. Which is brilliant for Z8, as they are getting money in exchange for virtual goods, when the only thing they need to pay for is operating costs, salaries, etc. In the end, it screws the consumer. Z8 doesn't like me saying that, but they sure as hell know it's true. In CrossFire, it's easy to spend a little money, like $10 every week or two, which at first seems like hardly anything at all, but after two years, you easily could have payed a few hundred dollars, which is way more than any other physical game like Call of Duty or Halo costs, which offers everything all-in-one. It's great for Z8, and I have no problem with them doing this, it's the consumer's responsibility to watch what their spending. Z8 is not obligated to tell players about their money making strategies, which from a marketing stand point is fantastic.
But people don't buy ZP for any random reason, they need to think the game is super cool, even if they are terrible at it. If a new player joins a room and players horribly and is called a "noob," there's a 1/1000 chance that the person will be offended and uninstall CrossFire, thus canceling an otherwise potential purchaser of ZP. The same thing with "hacker." If a legitimately good player is called a hacker, the player could potentially get annoyed enough and leave the game for good, again, crossing out a potential buyer. Z8 will deny that it's all about the money, which is a slanderous lie, because money is everything in the private sector. Now that's not to say that they don't offer brilliant services and customer service.
The reason profanity is blocked is a twofold, one, a parent may not want a child playing in a game where the players are allowed to curse. And two, CrossFire is NOT rated for language on Online gameplay by ESRB, as allowing the F and the S word could potentially make Crossfire rated M exclusively for language.
But the funny thing is, all the filters do is just add a minor block in allowing a player to speak freely. Their thinking is:
Oh, they block "noob." So I'll just type "n0ob" instead.
Which makes the blocks completely pointless. Just like the F word easily stated by just omitting the 'c' from the word (same rule applies to "hacker").
So while you may think and not agree with what words are blocked ingame, there is a very logical reason. So you can go ahead and delete your would-be rage post-

the player might get annoyed by being called a noob...therefor he must realise that he realy sux at this game or the person calling him noob is even a greater noob lol
being accused of hacking and making u to leave the game...yeah false accusations are annoying but pwn him few more times and let the kid eat his sht...give him a spoon too lol
all above dont realy bother me that much...what bothers is the restriction of communications caused by this censor system and this realy might cause me to leave the game...more then being called a hacker or a noob

Now, I know people dislike buying a stupidly large amount of crates monthly and not getting jack shiz because the odds are so damn stacked it would be the equivalent of giving your money away for no reason (Subscription games do way better in the long run because players get what they want the moment they shell out for it...). It in essence is a scam, since the returns are in comparison to the profits are so different.
I won the AWM Red Dragon in 4 crates. I didn't win the M4-Custom until I purchased it with coupons. I won the XM8 Adv in 8 crates, I didn't win the AK-Camo until I purchased it with coupons. It is completely random, it is not fixed to a point to where you never win. Calling a completely random system a fixed-scheme to get your money is ridiculous. Also blaming a company for not winning, where YOU made the decision to play, is also ridiculous.And at the rate that I can see it, almost every new release gun will go STRAIGHT to the temp ZP shop so Z8 can maximize profits while not truly giving players anything with few guns going to BP and ZP crates...after all...
Business practice. Why would I put something out permanent if I'm not entirely certain it's going to sell the way I'd like it to? Putting it in Temporary ZP is like a test, to show whether or not it's worth putting out permanently. Use common sense. There are plenty of ZP crates to win permanent weapons are there not? GP crates also have permanent weapons. What are you complaining about? Ridiculous.

Claiming that a company uses a word filter to maximize profits? That's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. They use it to block out POTENTIALLY offensive and/or insulting words and phrases. No one ever said it was coded correctly (where in the case of "but its", it doesn't correctly decipher the space in between the two words, therefore reading the word together and finds an offensive word). However, a word filter exists for a simple reason. Just because YOU don't find it offensive, doesn't mean someone else won't. You are all basing this ENTIRE argument from YOUR opinions.
If you can sit here and tell me that every single person who plays this game wouldn't be offended by one of these words discussed, then I wouldn't be so quick to argue. But, I know you can't. Again, it exists to block POTENTIALLY offensive words. It may not be offensive to you or the people in this thread, but you are not factoring in the entire Cross Fire population. There are many more users in this game that never even touch these forums. Can you account for what they may think of the word?
