Damn guys... i was reading the thread until people started arguing to Giggletron about flipping the word "noob"... please shut up... Giggletron is right, if a word is used so commonly to be known as a insult (noob = a player with no / less skill than you) then i agree it should be a "???" when someone types it. So? the game has a lot of younger kids and older kids, but the game should be a safe environment
If you wanna swear then do it somewhere else, and even if noob isn't really a swear word, so? who wants to be insulted for having less skill? so please stop your arguing. worry about hackers or something else than a simple word kids.
Let me get this right...you agree mainly to this because a lot of younger kids play this game? The younger groups should be all 13+ to play this game anyways. So what if someone calls you a noob? Just get better..simple as that. We're not playing pokemon.. -

Our suggestions would have to go 100% SUPPORTED from G4Box to NeoWiz and then to Smile Gate. It's not as simple as G4Box picking up the phone and calling Smile Gate. That's unfortunately why I don't like large companies, but that's how the majority of these games run. We just have to take it how it comes, that's all we can do.
It's not that you are being ignored. Sometimes the process to push your comments and suggestions up the chain of communication are a lot harder than you think. G4Box has done a pretty decent job in pushing SOME suggestions (Spec Mode, Shooting Range), but their reach only goes so far. The buck stops with what SmileGate sees fit and that's the end of it. That wouldn't be so much of a problem if the game was being developed in the region it exists (NA/UK), but it's being developed by Korean developers who gauge off of a Korean market. It's tough man.
Well said , this post should knock some sense to those who keep complaining about the game. In which they do not know how this game works. -

You may not be offended by noob, but there are people that do. Noob is an insulting term, when you say it, you WANT the person you're calling noob to feel insulted.

FYI I don't use the M12, the temp one I have right now is from a crate. I don't like the word noob for the same reason I dislike all other insulting words. You are the one that trolls. -

Seriously though, the filter can detect 'fk' and replace it with ???, so it wouldn't be much of a step for it to then detect 'afk' and leave it alone.
Simplified version of an example script:
blockedword = "fk"
allowedword = "afk"
text = "afk"
if (text contains blockedword AND text != allowedword){
...paste "???"
} else {
...paste text
}
Doesn't take a genius to solve that.

That's like my saying you're dumb, and next thing we know the word 'dumb' is blocked. Yes, calling someone dumb is insulting them too. If everyone starting saying 'Hey, you're a dumb noob' when they died, it would get blocked lol. You know some people use the word 'noob' in a conversation in the game, and it's a frequently used harmless word. I really don't see how calling someone a noob is insulting them. That's the same as saying "You're bad at this game." Did I just insult him? Maybe, now you gonna block that phrase? Wait, lemme guess...next word to be blocked is 'baddie'.

I was just saying you were being a bit harsh to some people in this thread knowing you're a mod. I'm not speaking for myself though, I say we take a poll in the Z8 community and you'll find for yourself how many people actually think that word needs to be filtered? It's quite obvious then in which direction it will go. Yes, due to the "State of The Game", it does force me to use the word 'noob' every now and then. Ofcourse, I found alternate ways to write the word, but it takes some more time than just writing 2 o's straight away. I'm not going to start talking about hackers now, because it's quite obvious that's an ongoing problem. Not to mention legit TDM's don't exist anymore, except if you do a 1v1. -

Brazilians have been planning on this day. BUT NOT JUST BRS many players have. That is exactly why instead of writing two O's they write NOB, Cause most people called me a haceur or that I was a racker.

I created a petty good (php) filter once. What it did was it made certain changes to the alleged string of text and ran it against the database of blocked words.
For example:
It would make a copy of the string and remove characters like .[]=\*() things like that. And if it still had nothing wrong with it, it would replace 1's with i's and zeros with O's then test it again, it worked very well.
Of course it's not changing what they said, it's copying what they said and testing it. -
Like any company, a business needs a way to earn money. Whether it be through physical purchasing, services, online goods or whatever, every company needs money to stay open. Z8's method is by offering you ingame perks for purchasing Z8 points. You rarely get anything permanent with your Z8 points, which many people are outraged about, but there's a very clever marketing reason behind it. Z8's philosophy is that if someone has $20 to buy 20000 ZP, they will have another $20 to buy 20000 more.
(If I came across a little harsh, I apologize, I feel very- odd. I witnessed a pedestrian crossing a highway and being fatally struck by a semi truck at 70 MPH near Denver this morning. The scene was horrific, and I've never thought so deep about something in my life. I've also never seen death first hand- so I feel very awkward as a result, sorry, long explanation :P) -

Saidin, does z8games(g4box or whatever)
has a plans in the future to introduce a create your own clan mark system!
You can make your own mark in photoshop or something like that you upload it to your clan
and than a MOD/GM will look at it if it doesn't contain nudity/insulting stuff
To get the option to upload your own marks
Will cost you like 5k ZP and than you can unlimited upload clan marks to your clan if you wanna change it by time
And if make a new clan than you need to rebuy the option again for 5k ZP
That will be good investment I mean like what it takes 30 seconds or less for a mod/gm to approve a clan mark and z8games earns 4 dollars with it!(5k zp)
