The reason is rather complex, and not one that Z8 would really care to explain. But it all has to do with business.

This OP is all just a rage post, only it's at least done with a cool head.
The word filter is hundreds and hundreds of words long. Mostly do try to stop people from posting highly inappropriate words or sites or what have you.
The word noob is stretching the barriers to the maximum. We are currently looking in to how this got included and what we can do to work to have it removed. But since this would require more than just flipping a switch, it's not going to happen over night.
So the simple answer is, we understand there are tons of people frustrated about this particular change. And we are going to do something about it. Even if only to explain the process for why the word was included.
Until that time please just sit tight and don't rage about it. (as best you can) -

Now you know how some of us feel when we offer legitimate suggestions/replays/etc. It's less painful getting your nails pulled than to ask z8 to improve the game except give us gun re-skins. -

This is a tad awkward. I'm a big fan of you Saidin, I've always aspired to have you comment on one of my threads.
First, I'm not sure if your first sentence is an agreement with my statement or you misread it...?
However, I'd like to argue the accusation of a rage post. While it's slightly one-sided, (:P) I'm not asking for change in the system. I created it as more of a rage post towards those who make rage posts about it, and an attempt to attract your attention. I never saw any Z8 mods or GMs catering to many of these types of posts so I'd figure I'd create a plot (the TMI footnote also contributed to me thinking about a variety of assorted things
If I created a slanderous thread- it would create a lot of attention and stir up people. [√]
Then it would not get sent to the back and would reside long enough for mods to view it. [√]
Mods would argue that Z8 has it's morals (I don't disagree) and it's not all about the money, which, eh, could go both ways. (I'm a big conservative guy who strongly supports business, I have no problem with Z8 and how they do things.)
Eventually a logical and truthful explanation would be made regarding the situation (by [MOD]Polleus, in this case.) [√]
The situation would cease and people would understand why things work the way the do [X]
Unfortunately I should have realized that posters tend to not read the last page, thus not seeing that the situation has been almost completely resolved.
While I already knew the roles of the various companies vaguely, [MOD]Polleus did a superb job of explaining the chain and what every company does, and explained why words are blocked, which was my end goal.
I'm sorry that it turned into a misunderstanding and I had to be rude, I knew that my thread would likely be ignored by fine fellows like yourself unless the popularity grew exponentially, if a mod would be so kind, please close the thread!

I apologize. I haven't had a lot of patience with this issue.
You're not being rude, quite level-headed as far as the issue goes. We've been dealing with a lot of raging and QQing over this issue.
We haven't made any official statement because it is still in the air. A change of this magnitude (especially when dealing with a common word like this) needs to be fixed.
If people can just sit tight and be patient then when it gets fixed (as in gets reverted) OR stays the way it is for a larger developer reason we can make official announcements as such.
For now its just an issue that we're asking people to work around for now!
edit: But note that this wasn't some sort of conspiracy set out to make millions of dollars by blocking the word noob. Or that we wanted to screw hundreds of names over etc etc. -
saidin is right i mean they know what they have done, and they know the problem. They will change it i know for sure, and i like how saidin is keeping up on the forums. Besides whats the point of using these words anyways. but afk i think is too far but i know they'll fix it.

Wowz....guy hit at 70 mph by a semi...I hope some one called 911...
I remember a cyclist hit by a car traveling about 45 mph. Bike went flying at least 25 ft into the air, and you know what was the worst thing? the driver just kept driving, in fact, he sped up after he hit the guy.
Thankfully, a police car was at the same intersection, and got that guy 1st aid.
ONTOPIC: As far as money is concerned, I don't care what Z8 does as long as it does not affect the gameplay by 3%. And people will always find ways to get through the language filter, even if they have to use numbers. -

The semi-driver called right away. But this one was particularly disturbing- I'm not going to go into graphic detail- but there wasn't much left of the poor fellow; he got caught underneath the truck.
Ontopic: Yeah, and Saidin and Polleus made some great points, most these changes are beyond Z8's control. I'm not sure if it's NeoWiz or G4 Box that does these updates but primarily it's at the developer's discretion, who may not ever hear what the players want. Z8 is kind of the very end is solely responsible for publishing and community interaction. -
Yeah, that's why I think it's a feeble attempt. If anything, it's more annoying in the fact that it's near impossible to write a grammatically correct sentence without there being a profanity within a word or spanned between two words. A good example of what could happen:
A player writes: ur haking
A response is: No obviously not. - But it appears as "???viously not"
Which if flat out annoying. If they at least re-wrote the filter I'd be okay.
Or another example.
Player 1: "Dude hes lagging so bad hes flying"
Player 2: "No hes not"
Player 3: "But its true" = "bu**** true"
or whatever. Point is that this censorship is unecessary. Every word, every phrase, every paragraph has a purpose. Man made words to express himself. Some words cannot express man fully. Ex: Freacking vs "****" -
Seeing what people say, here's a useless comment: sell filter removal for ZP (by the hour) and they'll get rich (-__- or people will continue avoiding the filter like usual)
it's about maturity, and I think the problem lies with everyone wanting to be the hero, the best... whatever... and all they get for their effort is "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK" -

Yeah, the Suggestions category is a joke, it's a thread that Z8 NEVER reads and only to make the players believe their idea is being heard when it's really not. If my theories are lies then Z8 really has presented a bad reputation for themselves

ZP Nades,ZP Temp guns,pink bags and the useless stuff aren't allowed in competitive I think. -
z8 is just not fair lol they just care about money..
BP-Guns are (6900ZP) witch is 60.90$ for a virtual gun thats alot of money for a GUN!
and waisting 100's of dollars on crates and time on the game when you dont even get the gun. That you really want to have. This game should not have all these crazy guns they should just have simple guns,but new maps,and the weapons should be a reasonable price.
z8 you say you do lot of work but all i see is expensive stuff and just stuff from the china version. The only thing that has been doing pretty good is the banning system, almost every person that is from UK/Cannda/U.S.A would like a ping cap..

Z8Games/G4Box is a company not a charity. A small amount of income stays in their pockets. Rest goes to SmileGate,developers,anti-cheat,server costs etc.
Of course we get same stuff as chinese version.
Developers are the same.
No ping caps will be added.

This game is not for UK/NA only.
They just have the right to put servers only there.
Replay system though...
I would like it fixed.
