The weapons are pretty much irrelevant. For most of the better players, they started with the M4/AK/AWM, so it's not like we're breaking new ground by setting it back to basics.
My thing is that, and I'm not wanting to continue the argument, but just to not, in WOGL, loopholes were used and abused by many clans. Sealing those up and ending those would be of higher importance to me as far as leveling the playing field, imo. -

Feel free to add me on xfire to discuss what you believe to be those "loopholes" in private and in better detail so that we can have more insight to what you're talking about and address them as necessary. No sense in discussing those things on here. It's not appropriate, I'm sure you understand.

i like how you guys are asking the community what they think and not just throw a bunch of rules in front of us and have no say.
No definite date as of yet. We will keep you posted as we progress through the preparation stages. As for asking the community, I believe that is a very important part of the whole process. Having the support and opinions of the competitive community is what makes the League. Without you guys and without your insight, what is the point of it all? :-) -

It all depends on how everything falls in place. You could probably look for something within the next month or so if everything gets going. -
Now first and foremost these rules are NOT final, until we get community feedback. These are the tentative "in-game" rules. Let us know how you feel about them. Please take the time to read them all the way through as it is important to get feedback in all areas of the rules, not just the weapon list.

lol maximum 12? i could see people being let into top teams to get the zp/weapon award at the end of the tourny i say 8-10 max
and 11 rounds? going to make everyone fall asleep. 9 rounds is standard
should just use the current wogl weapon rules -
Two things i noticed that should be changed.
*Rosters should be Max 8 (9 if you really want more)
*Rounds should be 9 instead of 11. Since its whichever team WINS 9 first they aren't too short or too long however 11 can be too lengthy if its a close match.
Other than that the rules look good. -
As taking in the feedback so far, we have seen some complaints about the XM8 still. Next discussion point:
- Completely ban the XM8/G36/Type 89
OR
- Limit 1 100% wall power AR per team
Completely ban. One broken gun per team is one too many. -

It gets abused way too much with it's 100% wall bang. -

Red - Change
Orange - Added

CF Specific in-game rules
Rosters
1. Rosters will consist of a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 8 players.
2. Teams must have all 5 players present in order to start a half.
3. Teams playing with an ineligible player will forfeit any round in which that player participated in.
4. Rosters will lock at 11:59pm on the day of registration close and will not unlock again until the conclusion of the entire tournament.
Room Setup
1. Slots for players: 10
2. Rounds: 9
3. Mode: Search and Destroy
4. Able to join
5. Password protected

General Match Information
1. All matches will 5v5 and played in Foxtrot Channel 5.
2. Each map will consist of: 2 halves; 9 rounds per half.
3. The winner of the match will be decided by the total number of rounds won from both halves.
3. The home team has the responsibility to make the room with the proper settings and provide the opposing team with the password.
4. The home team(the weaker team), will have the privilege of choosing which side to start on (Global Risk or Black List).
5. In the event of a tie, teams will play 2 halves consisting of 5 rounds each on the same map. The team with the most total rounds won at the end of 2 halves will be declared the winner. If there is another tie, this match will be repeated until there is a definitive winner.
Match Specific Information
1. Every player is required to run the league anti-cheat for the entire duration of match play, including switching sides.
2. You may not play a round twice. You may not leave the room willingly and come back to re-spawn in the same round.
3. The Internet at times can be unpredictable. It is possible that a player could disconnect from a game due to technical problems. In the event of a disconnected player, you may substitute an eligible player or allow the disconnected player to rejoin in which case upon re-connection you must join your team immediately.
4. The substitution rule applies in the event of a player disconnecting during a match and the team electing to use an eligible substitution player. In normal circumstances, if a team chooses to sub in a player, that player will join the game once the 2:00 mark has gone by, preventing a spawn. If the player spawns, then the opposing team will be awarded one round, and the violating team will be deducted a round.

1. Round 1: Port
2. Round 2: Desert Storm

5. Finals: Best of 3 - Each team will select a map (Black Widow, Ceyhan, Factory, Port, Sub-base). The team that chooses the map, chooses the side. Tiebreaker - Chosen by the CSN Staff. No point in elongating the process of choosing the tiebreaker.

Thank you so much everyone for the continued support and great feedback. It will all be taken into consideration before a final rule set is released. I'm sure we will release a 2nd draft of those rules within a day or so, with some changes. We will come to an agreement with the majority of the competitive community one way or another, in the interests of fairness and competitiveness.
