  • Hope we get picked up. If the AC is reliable and the prizes are good, should make for a great league.
  • In talking with Adam and Jerett, it is really important in this stage to not only show your support here but also on the main CSN website at http://cyber-sports.net/

Get over there and sign-up and engage in the discussion http://cyber-sports.net/node/4349. If we show enough support, CSN could pick us up rather quickly.
  • Well. Good luck.

I think it could turn out nice, but you're going to have your hands full with 5 different leagues launching at the same time.

And I'm curious to see how you're going to do CF rules at least, as WOGL pretty much nailed them. >_>
  • Sounds good, but aslong as you dont budge in WOGL's timetable.

From what I gather from Adam/Jerett, a GP only (Control's list on the CSN website http://cyber-sports.net/node/4349?page=1#comment-2752), is pretty close to what they are looking at. From the standpoint that they run a similar list in CA where they have equally obtainable weapons through in-game (free) currency without any sort of extras (in CF, +5 bullet magazine, silencer, etc) or having to purchase anything with real money.
  • i say let any weapon that can be bought in the item shop permanently, be allowed. this includes allowing scar light and w/e other gun some people think is OP. i honestly don't think it's that good :/

    WEM rules or GTFO.

    those haven't been announced yet?
  • WEM Rules would allow for the best level of "competition" in this game, at this point in time. My reasons to agree is that it for one, eliminates all ZP purchasable weapons/items making the weapon set available to anyone without having to acquire ZP or win a weapon through chance. Secondly, it eliminates all 3 of the 100% Wall power assault rifles, seeing as that can be the only logical reason they took of the XM8, G36, and the Type 89. One could argue the MP5 has 100% wall damage, however with the reduced damage as an SMG, it doesn't really pose a threat like the assault rifles.

Having said that, I agree that the WEM rules would be best. However, I do not think this community will respond well to such a limited rule set, being as it may, CSN is already leaning towards a GP only weapon set. Limiting that set even more may only cause community dismay. Time will tell on that. Keep sharing your opinions and support. Let's get picked up!
  • I don't mind the WEM rules at all...but there are a few flaws in it.
For example the pistols, why is an Anaconda/P228 not allowed? they are both purchasable and are great pistols, same goes for the Glock
It dosen't bother me much since I personally use the Desert-eagle, but it would annoy other players.
I suggest allowing any GP guns (except for the OP guns ofcourse) and leaving it at that.
    If you want fair...that's fair.
  • pls make the league America and Europe seperated thx
  • Alright after reviewing what I've seen so far, I am going to put together a list here, for the weapons at least. Just reply something along the lines of "Approve: Reasons" or "Disapprove: Reasons"

    • Feedback on character items? Hats, backpacks, etc. My opinion is to not allow a lot of items to make it look more uniform across the playing field, instead of having a bunch of bunny hats running around in a league match. Thoughts?
    • No armor, no flash guard, smoke goggles, No ammo magazines
  • those are ESL rules without scar light and M12 .... just perfect

I think the Anaconda is too loud in CF China, and the P228 isn't really widely used in tournaments (same with the Glock, which is why it's not allowed either).

    Z8 didn't make WEM rules :P

    My two cents:

WEM rules would give for the best competitiveness, but the community deserves a say as well.

XM8 and K2 might get a WOGL ban, so I suggest talking that over.

Only a clan bag should be allowed as a character item.
  • I don't think they are really basing anything off of WOGL rules. When I spoke with them yesterday, they are real big on "running things by the community first and listening to what the community has to say" before making any decisions. They are going to base any/all rules from our opinions, suggestions, and insights, not other Leagues.

Yep, but the community was the one who asked for the K2 and XM8 bans. IDK. The best way, in my opinion, to go about this, is to ask the community.
  • Exactly. Alright re-post with proposed ideas in parenthesis:

    Add m4-adv and m4-silver.

If the add the m4 variants...they must add the AK variants as well.
I don't think the K2 should be banned, it's not OP.
I think the XM8 should be LIMITED to one per team (similar to how the AWM is limited to two per team)

Just for more opinion on that:

How can you justify the M4-Adv and M4-Silver (with a silencer) being as fair as a regular M4? The muffled sound alone gives it an advantage over a regular M4, let alone having the same power as a regular M4. The point here is to be as fair and equal as possible, having weapons equally obtainable through the in-game GP shop, without having to purchase ZP or acquire weapons by chance.

Only variants of the AK/M4 should be:

    M4A1
    M4A1-Silver
    M4A1-Adv

    AK47
    AK47-Silver
    AK47-Camo

    amirite?

Strongly agree, should keep it to only the regular M4/AK

If they want to keep it 100% fair, then no.
    Just stick to normal M4/AK.

Not our fault kids are poor.
They can easily do one survey and get a m4-adv for 7 days.
The gun is used by tons of competitive players, and people have been playing with the M4-ADV since it came out, why take it away from them and make them master the shiitty normal m4?

Because it's available to everyone...without having to do surveys?
All they're doing is leveling the playing field.

    Okay.

What I'm saying, is if you take out all the variants of the AK/M4, I'm not joining this league. Same with many other people.

You mean the same weapon with a silencer? I don't see your logic at all. It isn't their fault they are poor either. Why should they have weapons that would allow an advantage just because someone isn't poor or has the time to do surveys? It's not fair.

Also, you seem to be one of the only ones so far that does not agree with the GP weapons list. Go read the comments on the CSN thread. The overall consensus right now is that it would be most fair and competitive with equally obtainable weapons. Show me the "many" more you claim of that wouldn't play and opinions may be changed.
