Extremely dissapointed when I saw your videos and the gameplay sneak peak. I thought it was going to have beast graphics and a better engine (somewhat on par with CS:GO but weaker graphics).
I hope we can stay at CF 1.0, 2.0 makes Dust 2 look.. dustier. It looks ugly in my opinion.
You can still play with the same graphics and the same chars if you want too -
Now that we know 2.0 is just a marketing term by Tencent for their December update (which would explains why there was no news from the developers, it wasn't anything more than just an update), well, it means that the idea of a sequel was never out of the question then. We all heard the news at least once regarding CrossFire 2 and Smilegate having the license to use Unreal Engine for future projects, so let's see where that goes!

2.0 Hype Train died down.
I don't think many people are looking forward to the 2.0 update anymore LOL.
Meh, was only interested in the VIP Char (dat ass), the Dual Mags weapons, and modes. Waiting for a gameplay for spy mode.. no idea what that is. -

Yes, must disappointed indeed. I thought they would of at least upgraded all the maps and added the customisations to all guns instead of a few.
I guess we will have to wait until the 13th December for the full information.
But I guess the sequel is still on the way. Smilegate are still recruiting for staff which has Unreal Game Engine experience and the term 'CrossFire 2' is all over their recruitment page. -

You can't find it because you're using the English version of Smilegate website.
You have to use the Korean version of Smilegate website in order to see the recruitment section. This is because they only recruit (based on my knowledge) Korean people.
They haven't removed nothing, only the applications which reached the deadline date. -
whats up with all the disappointments? all the vids on utube look good so far, shet but it looks like microtransactions heaven too.
So far? Seems like that was all..
Otherwise I couldnt explain why the new map (aquarium) hasnt been enhanced with effects as ship, egypt, dust and bw.. -

I see, that makes much more sense. It's funny how if it's based on rank then there's going to be a huge bell-curve since many of the high ranks are farmers (not saying all high ranked players are farmers).

But in that preview text it does mention it will be for Search an Destroy and other two modes I can't remember. Hmm... -

In the end, I want to apologize for this hype thread, this whole 2.0 really got us thinking it was gonna be more than just another content update. It does seems like a nice Christmas gift for their community though and I'll still look forward to getting this update as well someday, although as it's just an update, well, we will have to wait like any other content as developers do decide whatever we get next, same to all versions.

monolith has released the game "shadow of mordor" with the graphics engine "jupiter extended ex" for consoles
this shows that the new monolight graphics engine is not obsolete and still has much to offer -

They dont upgrate the engine as such there are no graphic changes, they just redesigned 4 maps, 3 chars and even the (other) new chars (vvip) and the new maps (aquarium and prague) look like normal cf maps without any graphic settings, its just a patch name and thats it. -
