CrossFire 2.0 Update - Unofficial Discussion
You probably heard the news by now; if not, let me enlighten you on the subject. The Chinese version of CrossFire will be having a major update soon (in December); named 2.0, upgrading the whole game dramatically. It is safe to assume that, depending how well that goes once implemented in their version, it would be a mandatory update to each versions that would possibly arrive sooner than any other content. I'm just speculating here though, but it seems rather logical!
I will do my best to update this thread with any further news and images I can find; I will also get someone to translate some of the articles so I can give more news about all of the changes, so for now it'll have to be pictures only as I don't want to spread false / inaccurate information, ;P Also, I won't be posting pictures or videos that contains watermark on them, I rather share the original / unedited previews; speaking of; here's some official pictures posted by Tencent:

Therefore you could be switching between quality settings as you like during a game; which the lower settings may not be too different than their original counterpart.
• User Interface url=http://cf.qq.com/webplat/info/news_version3/125/860/862/m640/201411/290705.shtml][size=1]Source[/size][/url: Besides a much needed new look, featuring a much darker theme with some red / orange color scheme; it is said that the menu's size will be 1024x768 instead of the current size, which is 800x600 (in both full screen and windowed mode).
• Weapon Features url=http://cf.qq.com/webplat/info/news_version3/125/860/862/m640/201411/291399.shtml][size=1]Source[/size][/url: Today's preview (Nov 22nd) shows that they will be getting two new gp weapons; AK-12 & Savage 100. Additionally, some of the weapon type will feature new interesting mechanics; such as dual mags for rifles, various ammo type for shotguns and SMGs, and angled sights for snipers.

Finally I can freely discuss things CF 2.0.
The ones I'm really actually hoping for an answer is..
1. Heard some rumors about NA, EU, and BR merging into one version. Seems pretty cool, but looks like there's going to be loads of problem, such as language, names, etc..
2. Account transfering: If, I am correct, CF 2.0 is only a new era of the game and not a new game client?
3. VIP Characters: I saw some on Realgamemassacre's channel, and looks pretty real tbh. The kick ability looks pretty OP. Again, not official, and probably datamined but still looks pretty realistic. -

I don't think they'll ever ban Egypt. But they may add a new AC... PCs would be fried anyway, higher rqs after the update. -
I hope the recoil/spray of the guns don't change much. That's one thing I love about this game, the guns have predictable and easy to learn/control spray patterns.
I hope the SAS actually wears his helmet in-game.
I can see my fps dropping to like 30-40 on most maps with my ancient computer too. I've been wanting to upgrade but Windows and the prebuilt's are trying to milk the old quad-cores for all they're worth and I'm waiting for them to step into the realm of like, current technology. -
I hope the recoil/spray of the guns don't change much. That's one thing I love about this game, the guns have predictable and easy to learn/control spray patterns.
I hope the SAS actually wears his helmet in-game.

The ZP guns may be easy because they literally have no recoil at all, but the spray patterns are far from predictable. Especially with the normal guns. Each gun has 3+ different spray patterns and they happen at random intervals, you can never predict which spray pattern is going to come out of your gun. That is why, to be extremely good at this game, you have to be one of the best aimers. There are no top players who are just good at spraying the guns and are super consistent at that. Now in another fps game that is extremely popular and competitive, all the pros do is memorize the spray pattern and spray at each other because it is predictable and the pattern is the same every single time. -
