crossfire's xtrap folder should look like this

Whichever one of George's Rar files you downloaded
Xtrap:
moving the files into your xtrap folder should extract them there. You should be able to just highlight them and move them. When asked if you want to replace any, do.

I've got winrar as my rar and zip handler.

is anyone having this issue? When I try to open crossfire, my xtrap would load halfway and freeze. When I try to close it, it would say that it's not responding... I'm not sure what to do

yes do what i suggested with the xtrap folder cause thats the same issue

This does not work for windows 8...

I open game fine but then on login screen i get an xtrap error.

I replaced the files with the ones given in the OP's link. XTrap still freezes 454kb/2249kb.

close any other programs not needed for running crossfire
ie: game 'enhancing' software (not accusing), antivirus's, messengers, etc.

Yeah - should be the same files on every OS. And the xTrap error John is getting seems to belong to his graphic driver (Intel HD).

Btw now it´s the first time i hope xTrap will NOT update tomorrow (until they know how to fix their problems).

so... uh, I can't find my z8 folder? I found my crossfire folder but it's filled with images and bitmaps? I downloaded the necessary folder but now I can't find the original one >.<

reporting back! I found the folder and it took a couple of tries of deleting the folder and putting it back in, but it finally worked! Thank you so so much for your help! ^___^!
