XTrap conflicts with GSC

64 bit Win XP ERRROOORRRRRSSSSSS

Z8 does an update so OF COURSE Crossfire wont load on my 64 bit Win Xp system yet again. I dont know why I bother with Crossfire. I guess the only reason is because I mistakenly bought ZP at one time. Fking done.

1. What Anti Virus program are you using?
ESET SMart Security
2. Have you added any xtrap or game files to an exception list?
i dont know good english but i tried to but 1 mod and then i had 1 error..when i launced the game...it says ERORR!
3. Have you tried disabling the virus program during installation and running of the game?
my av time expired..!

hi guys. Today after i downloaded a little patch, crossfire didn't started. Xtrap prevented that, and i don't know why. I closed a lot from my running programms but nothing happened. Are there any other staff that i shall close? I mailed to xtrap but nothing happened. Does anyone else has this prob?
(I tried all the staff of reinstalling the game etc... and I'm sure i do not use any hack tool :P )

same thing is happing to me cf will work as long as im not using fraps. i started cf up first the after signing in i went and started up fraps and xtrap knocked me offline and same message poped up

yeah... happens to me aswell. so now Fraps is forbidden, or is it just a mistake to be corrected?

I didn't tested that yet but I'm gonna try later.

As the [GM]Sadlin said they are working on this issues all we can do now is play with out recording enjoy this god giving game and wait for them to update xtrap and hope for the change

Annoyingly i get this error whenever i try and run the game fullstop, tried using gamebooster, tried deleting all cf folders and redownloading. Nothing seems to fix it. Had this issue for a long time now.

NO 64 bit XP

Well I still had the 64 bit problem where the game just won't start. The first game page comes up to "start" the game. Xtrap seems to then load fine. Then after the 2 xtrap messages go away, nothing happens. No game. I can look on task manager and the HGDW or whatever it is shows up as running but no Crossfire.
I deleted all Internet Explorers, Shut off Avast, Spybot search and destroy, Adaware and Spywareblaster. Deleted Crossfire and Xfire and all their folders. Ran cleaner to delete what traces in the registry it found. Ran 2 other registry cleaner type programs to get rid of invalid registry entries. Redownloaded Crossfire client file. Set it up again in a totally renamed folder, as well as Xfire.
Same thing, nothing.

After the last patch Crossfire just started working again out of the blue after a week or so. This time nothing. Nothing on the 64 bit. Nothing.
32 bit still works. 64 bit - well nothing.

lets try to be patient they probably still working on it cuase for now we cant do nothing about it. I tried to delete game and redownload it but still same problem its just an xfire bug or error lets just keep our hopes up and wish for the best
