when did you clean it the last time? open up the case and make sure to free fans and other hardware from dust and dirt.
ALWAYS discharge the static electricity that builds up on your body, by touching a grounded electrical appliance or by touching anything metallic and then grounding that object.
I use a vacuum cleaner. be extra careful. those air cleaner cans are also helpful. It's not like it's rocket science to open your PC.
Unscrew two things in the back and you're done.
I meant changing fan or anything else inside the computer is something im not going to do.
No, the inside is dust free. Thats not it -
Hello
I want to upgrade mu current desktop (prebuild Acer).
current specs:
CPU: i5-2320 3GHz
GPU: nvidia geforce 510
8gb ram
win7
The geforce 510 is a basic GPU , so I want to replace it.
my questions:
-can I do this myself? (replacing the GPU and the power supply)
-does every GPU fit my motherboard?
-does it have to be a nvidia again, or can i replace it with an ati? -
You can do it by yourself.
It will fit in your motherboard but it has to fit in your case.
It can be nvidia or amd.
A Radeon 7850 or GTX 650 Ti boost would give the best value. Get a quality power supply or you'll have fun trying to rma everything like me -

Set up now:
ASUS Sabertooth Z77
Intel i5-2500k @ 4.6ghz
HIS 6790 IceQ X
Which would be more beneficial?
Intel i7-3770k or a GTX 780
If I get the 3770k, it'll let me use the full capability of pcie 3, but if I get the 780, it won't be running at full potential.
It's either one or the other.
Opinions? -

Your 2500k is still very relevant. Get the 780 because 2500k+780 is better than 3770k+6790. -
Worth to wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday to buy all the components for my new rig or to just buy it in September? Would be willing to spend the same amount of money(~$1200) each time.
I have a laptop that suits me fine for now, but I really want to update to a desktop. -
how many monthly active users in crossfire?
Just wondering...did you read the title of this thread? Does this have anything to do with PC tech? Why don't you sit down for a few moments and think about it.

Asus has the most useless tech/customer support i've yet to seen so don't plan on making use of their warranty. -

As for the monitor, I'm going to be buying it in a store, so the stores warranty should cover it. -
Hahahaha...CrossFire runs at 160 FPS on my laptop which has a siple dualcore and 4 GB ddr2 ram. Together with radeon graphics around 512mb. ;u;
Current system is far to good for this game and almost all games at the current moment. -

not a future-proof PC (socket 775, DDR2), but a fairly good deal for the current performance it offers. I'd disregard it if you're considering enthusiastic graphic level gaming.
performance is comparable to a X4 600 series or so.
does it come with a HD? or just the SSD for storage? -

just the ssd, i was going to buy it for my sister, she needs something mainly for photoshop, not so much gaming, she occasionally plays cf and LoL though which aren't too demanding -

Q8300 does alright for photoshop and video encoding, etc.
unless she's doing editing in extremely large canvas, RAM won't be an issue.
4GB isn't enough for photoshop when it comes to large pics and so because it'll use the scratch disk in your HD instead of the RAM, if there isn't enough available. -
