Auto ban swearing
tell me what you think about this idea.
Every time someone swears the word is replaced with this "???". This means our system recognizes swear words.
Why don't you guys make it so you get temp banned after saying like 10 swear words? The counter get's reset every day.
The player who swears is banned for 3 hours, or maybe 30 minutes. This will stop players from swearing.
Some months ago there was a word filter on 4chan. Every time someone said something bad they replaced the word with something else. We could replace words like F* with I like you. That will surely annoy some players.

I find a new censored word a week average.
There are so many censored words and letter combinations that one has to triple check everything they type to avoid it. Triple checking takes time, and time is not something you have to spare in a fast paced game like this.
The censor makes talking to others difficult in game but ironical does very little to actually stop swearing. -

So true, people just start using other letters or numbers as substitutes for letters that get blocked if the word is blocked.
Cant even say "Cam[ping A] site" because the word in the brackets are blocked

Anytime I try to type a sentance that is more then 4 words.
Main reason why I don't type in game, very hard to have a conversation with someone when there are 1-3 censors every sentence. -

4chan really had a swear word censor some time ago.
Every time you wrote something like fa**ot they replaced it with another word like fish or something like that. I don't remember the exact words but it was something like that.
And if you think that this will slow down the game, then just use voice chat. -
Here's an idea, how about we make the swear filter so that it only blocks out swear words in your language e.g. I have the game in english so it blocks only english swear words on my screen, but if it's a curse word in german and a german player is in the game it blocks it out on their screen, while not blocking it out on the english players' screen.

lol not everyone in this game will be on the same voice chat as you so again dosent makethe idea an y betta. -
And those 4 languages would have their curse words blocked on speakers of the 4 languages screens with my idea. Honestly, I'm just sick and tired of being told that a word is a curse word in german, and that I can't use it because of that reason. It would honestly work. If someone can speak spanish, and someone curses in spanish to avoid the language filter, then there is just something wrong with that person.The community obviously lacks problems so people start creating them. Is the game that good right now?
Seriously this idea is a joke. And Link1275, please start thinking. I can swear in 4 languages... -

And for me, yes, they are VERY common for me to use.
The censor is too sensitive to allow such and it doesn't differentiate between a legit sentence or a vulgar one.
As much as I like swearing and cussing down, this is not a way to do it. Getting penalized for a swear filter that's already poor is not fun. -

The problem with this is that the system picks up words that aren't meant to be said in phrases as this:
"But it won't work unless..."
There are many more phrases such as that one that the filter picks up on unintentional profanity. This could cause lots of bans very fast, and while some of it may be real profanity, other times it may just be accidental.
Now I'm not supporting vulgar slang or anything of the sort, so read this:Not happening. Vulgar language and profanity is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form. It may not be offensive to you, but words can hurt, and I prefer not to hear it either. Saying that no one cares about cussing was very inadequate to say, for one, I care. Parents who let their children care. You cannot exclude these key people and others from your suggestion. Not everyone is an older teenager. Using profanity spreads like a virus. Keep it how it is.
If you have any issues with people using profanity in a derogatory fashion then you should report them with a Support Ticket. -
first.. this will only ban the guys who arent trying to swear but just typing normally while the system recognizes it as swear words... and the ones who are trying to swear knows that it will be censored so they'll be able to bypass it.. second.. this is a action/first person shooter game.. if you cant handle the swearing like a child and complain about it.. then why not go back and play club penguin... this is not at school where you aren't allowed to swear. In fact, I dont even understand why swearing is censored when it is said to be rated 14+ and for MOST of the people.. they swear in their daily lives anyways at the age of 14.. so what is the point?
