because we could have some nasty things :P -
please, we need to stop looking at the past.
What we need is more people to work toward making the community better.
Sure sometimes things that got posted for a laugh get guys in trouble.
All in all most of the people that want to be a mod are in it for the right reason.
I wish every one luck. -

As long as they have a point to make and respect others, I don't think it's such a bad thing.
Sure there will always be trolls and people trying to make trouble. But why bother becoming a MOD, if that's the goal? -

I want to say that i never knew i can help players that are my friends & or my clan mate. I help everyone & i do mean EVERYONE who need my help. People who has given feed back i have NOT ask them too. They saw the thread & they came & post just to show their respect & thanking me for the helping them & the community.
I'm just putting work on what i LOVE to do. So once again people who support me is cause they have receive my work & had appreciate my work. & i want to earn the MOD job for what am i doing & what i am willing to do, NOT telling people to post feed back to get the spot.
Thanks 9 for what you have said earlier on other thread. Also remember i work A LOT In Game. All i know Talon knows & many more people know what i have done to the community & ideas i have what i am willing to share.
Thanks everyone
Sincerely -

What do moderators do?- Moderators do a ton of things. This is just a small list of some of the things the moderators do on a daily basis:
- Patrol the forums
- Patrol the game
- Report community happenings (events, websites, community members)
- Report bugs/glitches/hacks/malicious websites
- Help players with issues in game, out of game, on forums, elsewhere
- Create events, both in game and out
- Help out with major events like patches, broadcasts etc
- Be community leaders amongst their peers in game and out
Unless they've already done it.What makes a good moderator?- Being Tolerant
-
I had no idea MODs were that busy. Shouldn't they split the tasks between them?
Unless they've already done it.
Some applicants clearly don't meet this condition for the job... -

You would have to split it between both.
This is about being a forum moderator, who also has tasks ingame.
Not a dedicated ingame moderator. -

If being a MOD was limited to the forums or just in game, I would not be interested.
The forums are a great way to share our point of view. The views that are shared come from in game experience. Understanding and guiding the community takes balance and communication. The MODs I trust and respect the opinion of the most are the ones I see in game on a regular basses. They are the ones who understand the community and it's concerns.
It's all wonderful that a mod can hand out infractions if a rule is broken, but understanding and relating to another member of the community by seeing for yourself what the situation is, is the key to building trust and respect.
The last time I checked. respect was earned and not demanded.
The first thing any mod needs to keep in mind is that they are a part of the community and not above it. Power is useless in the hands of someone not willing or unable to set an example!!! -

A true leader does not make trouble just because he can get away with it. Just because your not in the public eye doesn't mean you can be a butt. If your a troublemaker before being a mod, you will be a troublemaker after being a Mod. I've seen it here, I've seen it in the workplace. -

Supporting simrock,TGO and all of you.
I support nightmares and dreaming ghost busters, Canadian mutant hunters, G36K-silenced supporters, Food suppliers, RTO and TGO (don't have anything to qualify you guys, except lewd forbidden text of course)... and the real future MOD(s), otherwise he'll hate my guts. -
