8 teams signed up for wcg q #1 i believe, you think those are impressive results for this big event? its a joke. and like doop said cf is lucky they got put in the event.
8 teams signed up for wcg. If this was like a wem event(international) there would have been way more teams. It being a country thing broke teams up. Defcon for example from ava almost died for iesf cuz its country based instead of international teams. -

If what you say is true,I might just move on to A.V.A with my team(if they're willing). For some reason after going thru October-March of 09-10 im still confident CF won't hit as low as it did during those grueling months. And anyone who played through that could tell you that scrimming against the same 2 teams over and over was quite boring. -

You don't know that only five more would sign up. You don't know if the same teams would of won. Your makin assumptions now. You can't tell if they would of won/lost it never happened. -
i'm still waiting on some company to release an mmo martial arts game. everything else has been done before. LoL is so repetitive too
The World of Kung-fu(something like that) is quite a decent MMO Martial Arts game,but I think like me you're looking for more of a smash'em kinda game. -

I can't name teams, because me nor you know what teams would be alive/made in order to compete with ll or lpk for the lan. So yes, its an assumption you made. Instinct can compete with ll and lpk. Idk if they are legit even if they aren't still can compete. -

if wcg didn't break up teams LL would have won. i called instinct would win since LL was weak due to 3 new players even before the first match happened. damn i'm good -

you cant name teams because these other teams are 2 weeks teams, lets be real here. All the good teams have played together for closely a year or more, other teams dont even come close that are actually good or give a challenge -
Look at the situation of WEM.
A good prize + pretty decent venture hosted a CF event and if I remember correctly a lot of teams came back and/or new players crossed over to try for a spot. I do believe that both sides have great argumentative points, however I think if the right platform was provided, the amount of players (old and new) would increase yet again. Just my thoughts on it. I'm not disagreeing that the competitive community is pretty low in activity, but I do disagree with the opinion that it can't be rebuilt with the right tools. -

it's not only about the competetion, the game is boring and bad now. it wont change because it hasnt in the past 3 years

tbh it's mainly boring because we've played the game for a while and not much has changed. for a new player it would be exciting at first but then they'll realize nothing changes
but why would it matter. the advertising for this game is nowhere to be seen -

Youre new team point is invalid. Dws was a new team. Cyberrev was a new team. Deviate new team. All could give a good challenge. Not new people but new teams. -

dws is essentially the same as cyber rev. deviate would have probably never formed if it weren't for wcg separating teams. -

Completely agree. No argument there. But what is not to say that will stay like that forever? You never know what could happen and you can't assume that things will be dead forever. There are no facts to support that. A lot of the older players are still around, such as yourself, but simply have no interest in competing. What's not to say that there MIGHT be a chance that could change? No one can tell that.
We will just have to wait and see. But sitting around pointing out that "Oh it's dead, it will never come back. Don't even try." is counter-productive. While it is your opinion and you are entitled to it, if you have ANY want for this community to eventually improve, we can't sit around and constantly throw those kinds of thoughts around for people to think about. Monkey see, monkey do. Know what I mean? -

My point exactly that proves als point of new teams can't compete. They can, just need the tools and who knows if deviate wouldn't of formed without teams splitting up nobody knows.y -

most likely not. hob & brando would have never met umad & ubad. they met in LL.ext, mick quit, 4 decent players left and created a team. umad & ubad knew 15 from vanity zzzz. trust me on it
and slaya is just too good for this game obviously
