how to help cf be more competitve
Instead of people making threads saying the game is dying let's use this one to help esl/wogl make adjustments to their league.
What do you guys think there needs to be changed? (Other than better acs) throw around some ideas.
Personally I think we need the teams to stay alive longer(I should know haha) we clearly have people that are decent at the game.
Please don't troll in here let's try to help the leagues out.
Post awayyyyyyy.

What a successful community requires
-A good product
attracts more players,sponsors,leagues
-Good leagues
good # of admins that are quality admins
good prizes
good Ac
we have neither of that so the chances of a "community" is very unlikely.
Tbh we have a decent game, its really not that bad if the interp was just a tad better it would be a good game. But I agree we do need more admins for leagues 10 admins and like what 125+ teams wogl? Correct me if I'm wrong. -

Most gaming communities consist of about 30 people, while ours has a buttload. Our community is pretty successful in the activity part, but attittude wise we are just as bad/good as the others.A perfect example would be the LoL community. They have alot more annoying kids than cf(probably because theres more players),but more success due to their player base, leagues, and prize pool. We definitely need more prize pool, and leagues. -
I think players are not committed to a team because they lose scrims. I used to be like that and hopped around for a while but now I try to find a team I like and stick with it. Obviously the teams committment towards WOGL is not good at all as over 70% of the teams drop out week 1. WOGL should release some sort of infractions. First and foremost though, get good quality admins to help out.

Well think about it, we have teams that die because people throw five decent players, scrim and if it doesn't work out after a while it dies because they are too ignorant to realize the key aspects of a team.
1. Not individual shots: if you can't kill a guy because you missed, that's a pretty damn good reason to not get the kill, instead of being scared to rush because your team leader would look at your kdr / frags to see if you did good during a certain scrim. If your team leader is saying this then just leave and find a new team honestly or moch it to him, mochittoya.
2. How you play together: You need to work as one-five not five-ones. This also can be influenced by your team leader saying a phrase such as, " stay positive in a scrim or your cut. ". In this situation when a rush is called I would stay back and be the last person to rush because I knew the people before me would at least do some damage making the kills easier to get and make me look the best when in fact, by adr at least, I did the worse. If you go 0-7 but you average 495 adr, would you still be cut ?
3. Do you enjoy the people that your playing with?
4. Learning strats over time, or even having an experienced player to help you with strats. Calling strats for a team is more important than the individual players.
Teams die because they don't know this and/or the excessive amounts of trolling mediocre teams do to less talented players, etc... not going to essay this but if teams staying alive is of concern, these key points and a few others need to be met. -
it's too late, this game is so dead
Not really, we have 2 online leagues and so far have averaged one LAN event since 2010. If we pull our community together and actually care about the game we could very much rejuvenate this pruned Crossfire back into the sweet, juicy ripe plum in which it was in 2009. For this to happen we need to start playing the game more, you know. Although you cool kids complain about the community be utter sh1t when you don't even try in scrims. If you want your community to get better the top tier players must at least provide us with demos that we can go over or go a step further and hop on the lower tier teams mumble/ventrilo and tell them what they did wrong and help them with any problems they have. We're not all naturals at this game. -

its dead buddy, these online leagues dont do anything. there was more competetion with no leagues -
no matter how long some people play they will always suck at this game i mean just look at moch. the famous saying "there is no I in team" is complete bs cause every single individual in a team provides some kind of support. there are so many bad players in this game for a reason i do not understand. It's very hard to find a mediocre team in this game due to the small community so the way i see it is that a team is good or bad. Usually CF has like 2-4 hypothetically "good" teams that can possibly go back and forth with each other only due to the fact that they have above average players. The rest of the teams also are basically on the same level yet are not close to the "good" teams. the only way to make it more competitive is for the bad teams to improve or for the population of the community to increase. Improving chemistry won't make a horrible team good primarily because these horrible teams lack a few key components. ex. aim, game sense, positioning, etc. So what they essentially have to do is practice their aim in constant tds or w/e instead of scrimming and pugging 24/7 . Everything else will develop as they play more. Another alternative to this is to get more players into the game. The community is really small compared to more popular fps games and i do not see z8games doing some extreme advertising to help the cause.
Also staying on one team your entire CF "career" may build chemistry in general but it limits you in so many ways. You might learn a thing or two while playing with others that you previously didn't know. You learn the way other players function(for example positions on certain maps, the way they rotate, etc and you can use that against them in the future. Or you find a team that suits you better...
I just don't see this game getting anymore competitive. Most of the good players are old enough to quit playing games and focus more on serious aspects of life. Good players quit, bad players become good, new players become bad and the cycle will continue -

You are right to a certain extent.
The competition is not all that active right now, but a lot of the players are still around. Maybe something in the future will show up and bring them all back to actually play rather than being on here all the time
Call me an optimist. -

it's funny because while you type these paragraphs up, you're forgetting the fact you're also bad and just like the average crossfire player. -
