It's really not how it works, they'd be performing illegal acts to do it with the game.
I wonder if people will start making foreign accounts before the update and selling them to foreign hackers afterwards. e.e -

Today we are announcing an evolution in the NA/UK version of Cross Fire with the introduction of IP restrictions for players outside North America and The UK.
Soon, Cross Fire services under Z8games will be restricting newly created accounts made through IP addresses outside our North American and UK regions from accessing the game.
Your existing Cross Fire NA/UK accounts will not be affected with this change. If you have an account with us (and all previously made accounts), your account will not be affected and you will still be able to take full advantage of all the services, features, events and promotions that Z8Games and Cross Fire NA/UK offers!
What this means is that accounts created before these restrictions go live will still be able to continue to play Cross Fire as normal. Only new accounts created after these restrictions go live will not be able to access the Cross Fire NA/UK servers.
Z8Games remains an international service. Our website and community will be open to all, and any current titles and future titles, including Metin2, will be unaffected by this Cross Fire IP restriction. Please note that after these restrictions are enabled, players outside of the NA/UK region may still be able to make an account on Z8Games.com, but they may not be able to access the Cross Fire servers.
We look forward to continue providing the best quality support for your existing accounts on our version of Cross Fire. Stay tuned to the Z8Games and Cross Fire websites for more information regarding when these changes will happen and who exactly they will affect.

You DO realize that there are plenty of hackers in the US and Canada. Anyway, this update will only stop about 10% or less hackers. Still nice though.
I disagree with you. A lot of you are failing to realize the silent positive in this whole thing. While yes, there are hackers all over the world including the NA and UK, this will at least put more weight on someone's account in the regions they are restricting.
This eliminates the attitude of having no consequences of hacking, where you can't just go create a new account. Once you've been banned on an account, unless you have alternates, you're banned for good. The likelihood is if you get banned on one, you might be less reluctant to hack away on your next alternate created before the update. When you run out of alternates, you're not coming back. -
i don't understand what you mean , you mean that players from Brazil ( example ) can't enter uk servers or what ?
No your main accs will stay in place, but if you hack on ANY acc, one ban and thats it, no more cf for ANYONE outside NA/UK -
I am Brazilian and I think it was a wise decision z8. But I think that while difficulties Brazilians will play with hack, should also create a Brazilian server .. For while there are many hacks, there are also legal players who need a better gameplay (ping 100 -).
Sorry for the bad translation of google translate .. -

shammy, (If I may call you that) Polleus, I disagree.
It's great we're gonna have this update, and I support it. But the effectiveness is not going to be as large as those who put their blind, uneducated faith believe. I'm not referring to you, just those who honestly believe it will stop even over 50% of hackers. It will make it harder for them, but it won't "stop" them.
This update is not in effect. Which means, I'm sure account traders and people in that dark business are already making foreign accounts to redistribute after the update for those that want one. Whether they charge for it or not, it's against the game policy. However, it would still be possible.
Now, obviously, that storage of accounts will be finite. even I know that. They must have bots hitting the registration page as we speak. So the foreign accounts made in advance may go out at any time depending upon the demand, weeks to months, to 1-2 years. What will the hackers do then?
Change their IP. For those outside of the US, they'll use free programs to change their IP and surf on secure proxies for extra protection, to make their accounts. Unless Z8Games can combat that. By that time, I'm sure links and guides to pull off such things will be widely distributed. Plus, hackers might be more cautious about where they go, deploy room crashers to prevent people from saving the replay after they've had their fun. I used the guide on this forum to report hackers after I rage quit a match, but I never tried it after a room got crashed.
Oh, and let's not forget the hacking community is likely about as big, if not bigger than that of foreign hackers.
In conclusion, I'm glad about the update. We might see a significant decrease in hackers visiting pubs, but I'll mainly be playing with my friends or former clan mates until then, like I've always been. -

Z8, thank you for this. I recognize this as a big kick in the a.. to all hackers. But otherwise, does it means NA/UK are hackers free? Nonsense! However, I hail this move. Congratulations! I appreciate all your efforts to stop the hacking in the game. Finaly, I have suggested this measure several times by Support Ticket. -

You may, but only the people who i trust can call me by my first name lol
yes, but BRS and others make up most of the hacking population, you CANNOT deny that -
Sorry if I double posted, but I can't find the edit button, it used to be here. Is it my settings or was there an update to the forum while I was inactive?
Anyway, I did not fail to realize the "silent positives" as you call them Polleus. I fully perceived them before I was done reading. Notice how I used the word "stop" as in fully halting or depleting.
Also, there are many alternatives as I mentioned before. If they don't change their IP or use pre-made accounts (which I'm sure will be unreliable if they do start to manufacture them before it goes live) they might resort to IP cloakers, the unprofessional or dumb ones that don't know a lot about how to avoid this.
That's another "silent positive" because they'll lag so much they'll be easy kills. XD
Unless they have good hardware. =/ -

It says soon. Which mean once the BRs see this message, they'll set up their bots to hit the account creation page so they'll have plenty accounts to hack. =/
Well, it's not like their new accounts will be infinite. This makes reporting players worth it now. =D
BUT, they can just change their IP to that of another country.
Stop this thinking so that hackers use the BRs. Many also want to play clean.
With this new update and the beginning of the end for the unfortunate BRs Z8 Games. -

Again, sorry if this ends up being a double post, but I think that's racial propaganda. There's so much hate against BRs here for being "laggers" or using "M12s" that may have caused people to think that. Or maybe you mostly see BRs hacking for yourself. Perhaps most hackers are foreigners, I might give you that. -
I really don't like the look of this for Cf-eu. Does that mean that only people from the UK [England/Wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland] will be allowed to make new accounts. I only know like 20-30 people from these regions in this game. If this is so...........the EU part of this game is going to die, since a massive chunk of the higher pingers [e.g. scandanavians and eastern europeans] are already leaving. Who's going to fill in their gap? Unless CrossFire undergoes MASSIVE advertising for UK gamers, the UK servers will be emptying soon.

This is the end for new EU players that don't hack or have high pings.
i don't like this, countries like portugal/spain/france/belgium/netherlands/germany don't have high pings on the UK servers, this is mean. -
