Who gets drunk at the keyboard? Like who?
And then types with text that supposedly has slurs? Doesnt even make sense, and if I heard it anywhere else besides the internet, I would call it out as a lie.
Alcohol affects motor skills - if you're too drunk to stand or walk in a straight line, you're also usually too drunk to type properly.
Have you really never heard of or experienced this..?
Everyone I know hops on facebook/irc/forums for some drunken messaging after a wet night. -

When you're intoxicated, you have no idea what you're doing. It's not like your subconscious can stop you from typing "stupid" things. He's legal age to drink, nobody can stop him from doing that. I'm pretty sure he got a strong talking to. He's not a child, he can do what he wishes to. It's not like he's an underaged drinker. In that case, he would be illegal, and then the situation would get serious, but he's just being a human being.

let me ask you something, have ever been drunk? there is a difference between being wasted to the point of vomiting, to the point of alcoholic coma, to the point of just being "happy", anything under that doesnt make you do sh*t
when you are drunk to the point of vomiting you can't go on a computer, after vomiting you need to sleep or just rest
i think alcoholic coma says it all
"happy" point, this is the point were it is possible for him to have done the writting, but i still i doubt a 16 year old would come on a forum to write sh*t while he is "happy", unless he has absolutely nothing to do or no friends, cuz when i got home "happy" all i did was get something to eat and go on msn to talk to my friends or id go watch a movie and most people i know either do that or go to sleep
anything under that doesnt make you do sh*t, its what i call acting -

That's a common misconception. When you don't remember what you've done, it's because you experienced short-memory loss as a side-effect. In fact, you were fully aware of what you were doing, you simply don't remember. It is also known that alcohol consumption lowers your inhibitions, thus making you prone to do or say outrageous things. You are still aware, you simply just don't care about it that much. -

What example does that set to the rest of the forum? Its all right to drink then post stupid things then just blame it on being a mistake. -

Are you joking me?
Regardless, this is ridiculous. Someont that is drunk cannot write slurs in text. Ridiculous I tell you! Ridiculous! When you're intoxicated, you have no idea what you're doing. Its not the stupid things, its the sad and wierd instance of him writing slurs in the text as if he were drunk. Ridiculous.
Regardless of if hes a human, an adult, and/or has the ability to get drunk doesnt mean that its fine to go around doing it. My question is this: Why would a GM even ask some kind of person like this to Moderate?
They should take some pride in their Moderating position and act proffesional. Lets face it, if we went to work today, and came drunk, I know for a fact that my boss wouldnt give two thoughts about firing me REGARDLESS of how hard I work. -

IDK if just people from forums should become mods. I've had experiences in games like WoW. I've had my own private server called WoW-Kills (now down). I've been a GM on Imperial Wow + I've been CM on the forums of that imperial wow. There are alot of people that would like to become a mod. But it's up to z8games. Idk. in WoW there is like a job section on forums. If they need a new GM/CM they post a thread. Then you have to post why you should become a GM.

He had a strong talking to, it's not as if they tried to cover it up as if it wasn't anything wrong. It was wrong, and Us3r knew that. It's not something that Z8 prides itself on, but it's not too serious to be demoted. It's a one time thing. He's done much more for the community. He's not useless.
Us3r feels sorry for doing it. Whether it was fake or not, it was a bad example. We all get that point, but he's human too. Humans make mistakes, whether wrong or not.
Anyways, I'm out of this thread. -

I think you need to kiss some serious Saidin ass to become one. Honestly, I expected the MODs to be impartial, single-minded and objective when it comes to certain subjects.
Unfortunately, some prefer giving cool comments, instead of actual advice of use. Besides this, some are way to arrogant for their position. You are a MOD in a forum visited by what...500 people? And you can delete their threads and infract them....wow!
My point is, they should be some kind of guards to the forum, but also some connection bridge between the users and Saidin ( i dont think he browses the forum all day long ) in order to provide him the general subjects. For example, the lately increased appearance of speed hackers in the game. I didn't saw many, but enough to ruin the gaming experience.
In the position of MOD i would choose any day a person with patience, civility and education, over a "cool" teenager just wanting to be in the spotlight. But i guess thats why those guys are actually payed to do their job.
I totally agree with youRawrJafrikan wrote: »And TheJafrikan.

Also what you can teach us about game mechanics ? How to open a hack ? What kind of intelligent suggestion you made up ?

Well to me the best MOD is Talonblaze, i know we dont see everything you do, but from what we see, Talon is the best.
They have 11 Forum MODs and not even 1 of them can update the site guides? I know they are forum MODs but i'm pretty sure Saidin can give them permission to change some stuff in the site...
I think z8 should get someone to do that, 1 person is enough... -

No he can't. That's a paid job for web developers.
Updating the site guides is different than making a forum guide.
They're viewed by a large populous of users and need to be absolutely flawless. A job for someone who's got the incentive to do it right, in other words, is getting payed.
As for giving permissions to edit the site guides? Too much of a security risk, never going to happen on a voluntary job.
