    maybe fixed within the next 6 months..... and thats not a wise*** comment just the truth on how long it takes for things that they say is small compaired to there big picture(money being the top) but such as sounds on guns patches for us to spend zp on and ha.cks right now our sound in gm is right below the ha.cks right now and u see there still lots of those around so should give us a good eta on the sound fix....

    z8 has nothing to do with hacks its xtraps job to get rid of them, that is what they are paid for.

    Someone's being optimistic. I kinda doubt they will manage by the next patch, assuming their findings did result it being a bug/issue. If they deem it's intended or nothing is wrong, there won't be a fix.
  • Between the sound and hakers seems like a reason to not play any more.

    So many hakers on the BR servers that even the hakers are leaving the BR servers to come to our servers rofl.

    I played the BR servers and I got a solid 3.0 kdr with my 160 ping... -.- One hacker out of the entire day I was on there. So I really don't know what you talking about. ;~; Could have just been my lucky day.

    Like Talon said, the only thing those of us who care about the sound can do is just be optimistic. GM Saiden did say in his post on this thread and the patch notes thread that they would look into it and get it fixed. For now, I'll just patiently wait and see if Z8 will actually do something for us minority GM players for once.

    That is why they don't play CF LA for those in the know.

    Legit BR's don't wanna v hackers nor even do the BR hackers.

    They would rather come here to hack since it relitivly hack free compared to their version:P

    When they say they'll look into something it usually means they are doing nothing about it.

    They blame the players first in almost every situation and do nothing, then when they realize there is a problem then maybe they get a fix - Just like when XTrap was loading slow they wanted everyone to upgrade their "wooden PC's".

    More likely however is Smilegate realizing the bug themselves and telling z8 they will need to patch.

    The above and below breath difference was always a distance factor to determine, and it still is.
    The game isn't stereo, so that means breath can only come out of two areas. Right or Left. If its coming from both sides, they are obviously in front or behind you. It's always been like this.

    I had same problem too breath being wide and difficult to pinpoint. Just changed it from 7.1 or 5.1 to quadrophonic or stereo channels. You pinpoint better on stereo or quadrophonic channels but it be hard to differentiate if ghosts on top. Just avoid open maps like Lost relics till z8 fix it. Its not a solution but you dont hear breath wide and you can Pinpoint. Guess have to deal with that until z8 fix it.

    Besides, unless you kept your registration email from day 1, chances are it will be impossible to know who's account is older. I know I've been registered since at least Oct 2009. Since I saw the MP5 Hallow.

    3. As noted in the 2nd quote. Considering almost all my settings are on Stereo, I'm not as crippled as the others above apparently. I never had a problem with determining what was up or down anyways so needless to say, I wasn't affected at all.

    Of course, it doesn't matter what either of us think. It's up to Z8 to decide whos got to deal with the issue. Either way, I know its not me.

    So you now know that your sound card output is stereo?

    before the patch I had stereo output with stereo headphones......I too had no problem determining up or down.......after the patch....big problem.

    Changed my sound card output to 7.1 still using stereo headphones......it's different but I can still PP most of the time ( still trying to get used to it)

    Since you are not affected by this, could you please investigate and confirm your sound card output? thanks
  • i have had some sound lag when i joined games i couldent hear anything exept the killing spree sounds like ''double,tripple kill'' and so on.

    I know you use stereo but the post was aimed more at the GM community. I know it did not help you but it might help others until z8 find a fix for it.

    You've never had a problem determining where they are because you can't pp. You spray that's all and anyone else who thinks there is no change can't pp either.

  • Yes Z8 changed it. But I can pinpoint better now. Some people don't but that doesn't bother me ;)

  • People who have noticed a change need to face the fact that there are a unique few who don't seem affected. Whether it's hardware related or channel related. It's also equally important for those who're excusing this change as non-existent to realize that 99% people who've noticed a change aren't pulling things out of thin air.

    Once we've established that, we can quietly wait for the answer we all know is coming. So further complaining is really unnecessary when Saidin's already replied.

    I think that is about right.

    Prior to the sound being messed up I would KNOW exactly where a ghost is and could hit them in one shot usually, now it's just a general area of 3 tiles unless they are in an obvious location then you put 2 + 2 together and kill them but still not by PP.

    It wouldn't really affect people that couldn't hit a ghost precisely previously and just knew the general location and sprayed a lil or lucked out.

    Now you can't really tell if a ghost is up or down and if you are trying to clutch v a few camping ghosts your pretty much screwed as the sound is just simply not distinct enough.
