I addressed this. Stating facts with no actual argument is useless. Unless you think skill is solely aiming for the head, in which case I recommend pubbing in Alpha 7.
None of your replies have made scar look any less nubby. I personally don't care what gun people use. I don't use scar but I could care less what others use.
And yes. you did say that. "If everyone's special, then nobody is." means we all have the same advantages. which means we have to use the same gun. which is lame. -
Every time i get killed by a "Scrub Light" <---seriously reta.rted name---> I don't give a dam! It's a gun that's easy to use. So what? Why make it harder on yourself. Making a gun easy to use doesn't really make it a noob cannon. A lot of people with the Scar Light RQ really quick. The gun is over powered if the person is skilled, or if hes not skilled it's a piece of cra.p
It's really annoying seeing all these QQ threads(not this one). The only gun i really hate is the M12s. Not because of the recoil or rate of fire, but because of its power! Seriously CF. What were you thinking when you decided to make an SMG as powerful as the M4A1(Rifle). -

I'm saying if you felt the gun was an advantage, that you could use it.
And other guns with their own specialties that people preferred would still be used. It's silly to think that every single player would use the SL. -

Agreed. and your point on the mr. incredible quote is now clarified thank you. But I've yet to see a reason for the scar not to be called a crazy easy to use gun. -

The scar light is a great gun, the most overused as of right now. it has great damage and rate of fire, leading to a godly dps. it also has great accuracy and low recoil along with a good spray pattern. it has a great mobility, only beaten by the m4a1, and the reload time is godly, the fastest in the game.
theres a reason why the gun's banned in WOGL. it outperforms all the other guns. sure you can "only use the scar light" but theres 40+ guns, and the meta game dominated by only one makes it not fun.

Many players that I've seen that have used the scar light just hold down left click. When ever I see someone doing this I generally hide and wait for them to reload, otherwise 80% of the time I'll get randomly head-shotted =/.
Please read the thread and what I would like posted in it before posting, it saves everyone's time.

This discussion has nothing to do with public games, only competitive play. Although I appreciate any input to the discussion, yours seems to be coming from a pub standpoint, which is somewhat redundant at this point in time. -
If you were trying build a solid argument would you rather go it alone or use experiences from many people to support your own speech? I'm just posting what I've seen in case someone else would like to collaborate many things into one.
Your post lacked validity, as it was a rough estimate at best, without any real data or reasoning. Although I appreciate your time and effort in posting, it is somewhat useless in an argument. -

No I'm also talking about competitive game play. Before i left -endLess, we faught against people with Scar lights, spops armor etc. We won 13-5. The really proved to me SLs aint over powered if you suck. -

That doesn't change the fact the article is one of the most well-written posts on the subject. I've actually had the post bookmarked since it was written because it's a damn good post. Whether he's banned or not doesn't change anything.
Anyways, back on topic.
Scar-l isn't competitive because it's overpowered, as others have said. The first, what is it?, 4 bullets are on target when spraying? The gun has very little recoil, a decent rof, does a good deal of damage, and a fast reload. It's a gun that performs above-average or the best in every stat, with no disadvantage.
The gun simply isn't balanced with the rest of the guns. That alone makes it fairly uncompetitive.
Now, obviously, competition isn't based on who shoots the best. It isn't about who can use their gun better. The reason scar-l isn't competitive though is because it almost completely eliminates shooting skill from the equation because the gun is so simple and overpowered to use. Removing any element of skill reduces the competitiveness of the match. You're instantly giving that user an advantage by removing a skill element (controlling the gun, since it's recoil is so low and dps so high).
If you suck, you suck. The people you were playing probably had no gamesense what so ever. The people who tend to have scarl/spop/armor tend to be ones who depend on zp instead of skill. That doesn't change the fact that in an even fight with 2 mediocre players, a scarl would probably win. Once you get to a high enough skill level though, gun won't matter since most of the times, whoever shoots first will win with a hs.Metal_Dragon wrote: »No I'm also talking about competitive game play. The Scar Light was changed and is still a spray gun. Even when not used for spraying its cool down gives it the ability to strafe and burst 4 bullets faster than any other gun without suffering from any recoil. Running and spraying with the gun is, as with any gun, more luck at longer range.
The xm8 should be taken out until its wallbang is fixed, along with any other gun that has full damage through boxes. This has been discussed before.
Also, you can spray like mad with the Scar Light, especially in "Competitive Play". Infact, that is what some players could do so well even at longer ranges which is why it was OP.Opinionated wrote: »Quoted my post

When the Kriss first came out, no one cared either. It took about a month before people finally understood that you could pretty much use the Kriss as a slightly weak rifle long range and beast spray gun short range. Also, I remember discussions about the Scar Light being to strong even in Suba forums.
You obviously can't understand what i'm talking about so let me help you out. In MW2, every single gun is point, click and hold. You don't even half to move down on your mouse, even at extremely long range. I personally don't like that style, but that is the way the game is made. Same goes for Halo, that is the style of the game. CrossFire, however, is not Halo nor is it MW2. A gun that allows you to essentially focus more on just flicking your mouse and holding down the tirgger, opposed to worrying more about recoil does not fit in this game.
Same reason the m12 and Kriss are deemed easy guns to use. Should you whine and complain about people using the gun in a pub or even Pug? No. Same way you shouldn't complain about Spop or Kriss either.
This argument is the same reta.rded crap I read the first day armor was introduced to the game. A bunch of players that don't know what they are talking about denying what people who know what they are talking about are saying.
End this stupid thread. The gun can't be nerfed or else it will be to bad, it needs another fundamental change that changes the way its used. (This will obviously never happen). Until that day comes, it will be a gun that is ridiculed for being to easy to use. Get over it. -

Whether or not it is an easy gun is not the point of this thread. This discussion assumes that those responding realize that "skill" is barely made up of aim. Any argument for the gun being easy is invalid. -

It's not really about the estimates it's about the opinion of a player. But I suppose a single player's opinion is rather "useless". Funny. I'll stop intruding into this thread. -

If the person sucks. He sucks. Scar light sucks if he sucks. I've never seen a Scar light user end a game with a kdr of 3.0. Ever.No, he will most likely get an infraction for it though.
