I let it run , wont even get past the cfpatcher, when it finalled abrutly ended, it said couldnt find version.ini ... anyone else get this?
Same exact thing happening to me and i really hate how NEXT TO ME my friend is playing and i cant, cf is making me so annoyed right now, if anyone knows what to do let me know!! ive tried just about everything -

Open up Version.ini and there is nothing inside.
Copy and Paste this; and load up CF:

MinimalVersion= 1031
OwnVersion = 3

LOL, I only play this because my router can't connect to other people on online games like COD, for some reason i can play between 17:00-19:00 ok-ish but then its F***d up as heck, Port fowarding does S*** and i am doomed to never being able to play online multiplayer games on the console for ertenity unless i shell out $200 for a new router.
So this is a really good game for me.
Note: i'm pretty sure it has to do with nat, even though i have nat 2. -

near the bottom there should be a config file called "version.ini". Just right click and Edit and put what i posted in...
But by the time you have read all of this i can safely say that this will not work because the Z8 servers need a reboot... So i wasted 5 minutes of your life whilst you read this very long and boring post... -

Guys chill like find something else to do im just going to go to bed. Just think you can go out and have a life. Most players its like almost 1Oclock in the morning here and like yea just go to bed or go to a party haha. And ya it does do something open you task manager and you will notice its stuck on "patcher_cf.exe". So yes it does do something it sticks itself and does not patch. Also the links for the downloads to download the client do not work "The Official Mirrors". This means that the patcher thinks there must be and update but to my knowledge there is none or it has crashed and cannot find it. So guys just give it time everyone is having this issue. The GM's as someone else stated most likely dont work weekends. So we will probly be **** out of luck for the weekend. But with this issue i highly doubt they wont have another 20%Exp+ and what does it matter like spend some money and get 50%Exp+ haha! Hope they can fix it asap though ill see you guys ingame whenever this is resolved. "They Will Give the 20%Exp+ again if this is a Huge issue"

Guys This is an error on Z8's Servers end! There is not a way to magically fix this right now. The servers need a simple reboot and it should be fine. Now just to find out how to contact them haha! -
Epic fail
I restored my pc back to yesterday and then reinstalled CF thinking I screwed something up when I got DC'ed from the beta clan server but after reinstalling a fresh .exe. I still cant get in.
I get a Crossfire Patcher v3 pop up saying "Patcher is already running"
...THEN....
Another pop up a few minutes later saying "FAILED TO DL version ini."
Sucks to cause i stayed home tonight instead of chasing tail to play crossfire!!
WTH am i going to do now? Gotta have at least one or the other!! -
Just wait for the servers to be restarted. I think if some players are online... Then there could be a error located in most of our character files which will probably take quite a while to sort out, depending on the extent of the problem. But seriously people; stop posting new threads; Stop asking about "Why is it not working?"; "Help" and stuff like that.
Just take a few minutes to look around the forums and post there; instead of creating new topics...
