Because doing that would make it re-download the corrupted file again for some reason.

Hey, I just got a PM from Fizzeq with this from Juicebox:

"[9:03:58 AM]<name removed>: rob, i gotta ask the team to upload the latest version for the download client.
[9:04:09 AM]<name removed>: that should resolve the rez files issues with a full install up to the latest version."

According to Fizzeq, yes there is a fix, but be patient a bit, I'm not sure if the latest version for the client is up yet. I'm reinstalling CF right now, will reply soon if it is a success!

Weird. I'm still stuck on it. I reinstalled and all too! Weird thing is.. I keep getting "Cannot find file needed for patch" everytime I get to the RF017.rez.. then I have to delete that file and it creates a new one in backup in 1N.cab and bam, stuck foeva.

GM Juciebox said that he told developers to upload latest client file.. I'm not too sure myself.

Theory is still in testing, however, I need someone to test this:

Uninstall CrossFire
Redownload CrossFire
Install CrossFire
Try to patch it without recieving "Cannot find file needed for patch"
Try to patch it again (if you had the error above and removed RF017.rez) and tell me what happens

i uninstalled it and redownladed it from a week but no changes :'(
