Panda antivirus pro.
2. Have you added any xtrap or game files to an exception list?
i have not moved anything anywhere.
3. Have you tried disabling the virus program during installation and running of the game?

i had same problem as you if you have windows 7 or vista you have to turn off virus protection with panda windows xp will be fine just add to exceptions but windows 7 and vista mo mater what as ive tried has to be off for crossfire to run, add this to the original post because ive spent hours messing around now.

Never had a problem to have to.

go to ur crossfire then right click click the on the button and then open crossfire files then go to xtrap and delete XT****xt.dll then start game and play ^^

Thanks for the 2 years of fun with crossfire. This latest patch wont let me play anymore. ive tried your fixes with no success. You must not like my money anymore so I will spend it somewhere else. I hear the tank game is pretty good and doesnt ALWAYS have problems.

thing is i think it has something to do with me deleting some corrupted files that had virues in them and i tried reinstalling but it is still not working so i dont know what to do....

you shouldnt get mad at the creators of the game they are trying their best and as they said individuals will have their own problems they are just fixing the majority you can always ask tech support and as for the tank game? it sucks and i dont think they care of losing one customer thats such and ass to their company

oh and also the problem i should have mentioned is that it goes to the patcher then after a few seconds the patcher disappears and it wont start no error of game or nothing it just disappears not even the little orange icon that loads the game

Xtrap is the problem

Hello, i don't think that antivirus or something else is the problem, i believe xtrap is because after last xtrap update cf stop working on my two computers, both computers have avast7 free, comodo firewall and windows 7, cf is at exception lists on avast and comodo. Before one day (before xtrap update) everything was fine, how is it possible suddenly cf stop working cause of antivirus or another program?

Note: after the problem i reinstall cf latest version two times in each computer delete all program files folders of cf and my documents folders with avast and comodo turned off but still cf cant open

I've got the same config, and the same error since last update. I just hope they fix xtrap in the next update.

yes crossfire to the exception list

Yes i disabled virus protection, spyware protection, system guards, and the fire wall.

Guys 4 me it's working now.
It's comodo firewall, I uninstalled it (rebooted my pc) and crossfire works once again.
(or maybe 4 u it's some other firewall software or AV check it out if you don't have comodo)
