3. no use, its the same updater i've been using for the past 2 years. it has worked perfectly in the past.
i do though keep getting this message: the acces to X-trap patch server is unstable or X-trap wasn't able to run properly. Please, restart game.

1. What Anti Virus program are you using?
- My antivirus program is: AVG (Premium)
2. Have you added any xtrap or game files to an exception list?
- Yes.
3. Have you tried disabling the virus program during installation and running of the game?
- No! -

Hey, GM´s and MOD`s!
I think that you are already workin to fix it, but:
Theres a BUG / ERROR while loading (some?) maps!
Before, the courser is visibile, than the loading process stops at LAST step, and I can´t do anything, except movin the courser.
I have to restart Game (end process, restart CF)
Maybe i do something wrong, but I think that this is prob. of CF!

- I tried it, hCF did work, however I don't want to turn it off.
-- SpyShelter, registry monitor etc, cannot make a white list rule because "rule not created because the component's file does not exist", this only happens with CF/xtrap and it is _not_ normal. It is very irritating, but I can live with it. However I do wish for a fix. -
When entering the game XTrap delete a file XTrapVa.dll

Currently, XTrap cant download the "XTrap.xt" file.

I am getting the exact same error.
1. I turned off my AV program which is Avast.
2. I re-installed CF
3. I am the admin on my computer
Help?? Can't play and I wanna play. Haven't played in over a week

After clicking "start" on the client Xtrap loads, then after about 30 seconds it shows "Timed out waiting for in initializing Xtrap engine."

FIXED----
Alright, this if for the X-Trap error: 10-0300-800c008-104
After 2 days waiting after Z8 for an other ridiculous X-Trap error to be fixed. I took initiative to find a solution for this error over google. And I found it! Please follow the following steps:
1. The X-Trap / HGWC have an issue connecting to the server, probably corrupted or wasn't integrated properly. So let's delete the X-Trap and HGWC folders !

2. Get fresh copies located here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YC12J326 (Updated 31/03/2011)
3. Make sure you have any .rar applications [WinRAR for example] to open it !
4. Drag your brand new copies back in the Z8Games folder.
5. FIXED, launch your game!

This is what happened with me wit an add on of device database of the operating system is not mormal or the device name does not exist, please restart system. i've restarted my system, reinstalled crossfire, disabled my av which is net protector 2012 still nothing. have u been able to find a solution? please help... -

I'm using AVG Anti Virus 2012
yes i've added CF and Xtrap to the exception list....
I've tried disabling my Anti Virus tons of times....still won't work....
i think the problem is i'm missing a file.....because every time Xtrap starts patching it stops at when it's checking a file name "Xtrap.xt" .....please fix this error or whatever..... -

I have played the fully updated version once, and now every time I want to play it tries to update, nothing happens then the X-trap and HGW pop up they dont do anything then it says File is changed: W[2007] L[2]
Same thing with me but i am also using IObite Malware Fighter and after the update Nothing pops up not a thing -

I was playing it normal before .I was travelling for 5 days, now i arrived and it wont work!!!! god damnit,i'll play another game if z8 don't fix it quick.
