Avast Free ! but I turn it off when i start CrossFire !

In exception of firewall

yes !
the error code is :
30-0400-00000000-506
The game execute file is not normal or an abnormal memory access has benn detected !
I don't use hack more !!! I've re-installed the game 9-10 time ! -

I can't add xtrap it doesn't show up (at LEAST I don't think it does)

Anyways WTF ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO cause this a really ****ed up -
i stopped playing CF bcuz Xtrap ruined my PC completely!
1- while playing my screen used to turn black and my PC froze
2- there were times that while playing the game would go to low fps's and then the game would close it self and my screen would get ALL the colors f*cked up
3- Xtrap ISNT protecting AT ALL the game from hackers, from when i used to play, i was constantly see an hacker in that room, in most cases in a FFA game.
and the 1 and 2 issue i used to have in CF, happens in EVRY game i play with Xtrap, i dont know whats the big thing about Xtrap, but thnx to it i cant play the games i want and my PC is somewhat f*cked up thnx to it... -

I keep receiving an error that says File is changed: W[2007] L[2] crossfire.exe This appears after X-trap begins initializing. The box has HGWC in the top left corner.
Do I need to uninstall or something?

I have free Avast 6.0.1091 and was getting an xtrap error (sorry I do not have it to report) when starting the game in the sandbox, it started fine when normally is selected from the dropdown, but the issue was fixed by scanning the game folder after another post suggested this, this may help someone.

hi i was playing normally till one day the game didnt start and x-trap is giving me an eror code 08-0400-00000000-517 and says close any program which is affecting the game i have no program affecting plz help me

Close or uninstall all programs affecting the game client. Software like NetLimiter, antiviruses and recording programs cause disturbances.
Here is the actual explanation of this error from xtrap, maybe the program names will give you an idea, good luck. -
i have this error code: 10-0300-00002EE7-200
the access to X-trap patch server is unstable or X-trap update wasn't able to run propertly. Please restart the game.

X-Trap program can not connect to patch server. Set your firewall and your antivirus program to allow the X-Trap program.
Set an exception for gameand xtrap in your firewall and antivirus and you try setting the properties compability to run the shortcut as admin. -

Norton AntiVirus 2011

Yes (Made it so Norton wouldn't detect it as a threat)

Can't keep getting update errors. -

Make sure you have to added crossfire.exe, hgwc.exe, and patcher_cf2.exe to your exclusions, here is a link on how to add exceptions to Norton, also here is a link to a drives and folder to the list, this may not apply to your version though.

False Positive continues re XTrap Error
Ever since the last Patch, I'm back to getting aborted from games ,mesg reads: Hack Tool Detected (1.0)(.04) ,then it pulls the plug on me. Commonly happens under the following circumstances;(a) Sitting outside of game rm or in storage and either not being active or texting to another plyr (b) In game using pistol or sniper rifle and registering high kill count in short order (c) Doing a crouch jump sequence. This false hack detection most aggravating when in fact you are playing head on against an actual,positively,no doubt about it,utterly brazen, hack program user. On occasion it is followed by a request( by way of info pop-up) form register that asks for my game and plyr info. I've been unsuccessful in my attempts to circumvent this problem, even after doing cmpt clean-up, reloading of the game files, shutting down security sys, halting all other cmpt ops. There does not appear to be any other reasonable cause for this softwear usage aberration. -
I am not sure this has been suggested,
1. Delete the Xtrap folder
2. Empty the the recycle bin
3. Reboot the computer and try the game again
The Xtrap folder should be created and Xtrap should download when you attempt to start the game, this was suggested by the support team of another game.
