Mod Applicant Support!

Just have the chance to get on right now to say this: thank you, Hi, for carrying out your promise and choosing a list of "fit" moderator applicants. I have read through every single one and have to admit that choosing the top ten must have been pretty tough. I just hope everyone else appreciates you posting your opinion just as much as me.

Where can I see who applied? I'm not following this much at all.
I'd still offer my support for him regardless.GodsGunman wrote: »Yeah I think VATAV would make an excellent mod, but I don't think he has the time
He would but unfortunately some people would wrongly perceive his stance on BR's as racism.
So he would be out of the running - Just like I suspect you are, but for other reasons mainly disagreements with other mods. -

If I remember correctly, VATAV isn't interested in being a mod. -
Probably not Simrock because he already posts other CF content outside the site (although I enjoy his videos, he really gave me a guide before the Valkyrie Lab was released).
I call GodsGunman definetly because he does a lot of work for the Cross Fire database and has a collection of info.
Possibly MrShad since he was on the forums for a long time and I'm not sure if I knew him when he was called Mr Shady or he might be a different person. -

I bet it will be a hard time being a MOD for me!
being infracted or not doesnt play a huge role when they are choosing a MOD.
what they are looking for is,
What can you do for the community? -

RTO is nice, but he is not MOD material in my opinion. It seems as though his only goal in this game is to become a MOD by leeching off of those that are already known in the community.
For example, he's been in 2 of the past broadcasts, but why?
Sorry, I call it like I see it.
OT: If I was even offered a MOD spot I'm not sure whether or not I would take it. I doubt they would even offer me it anyways based on my attitude towards Brazilians in December, as well as my bad relationship with most of the current moderators.
I agree, RTOMan seems more like a suck up and there has been controversial debate amongst some gamers about him being legit. Granted this game has issues but there have been times I have seen him jump out long range with an m4 silver take one single shot and do a headshot and jump back in behind a wall all with never stopping for even a second. Never seen someone do this consistently round after round and each time its so fast that you never even have time to fire 1 round. Anyhow im glad you call them as you see them you seem to be spot on. -

It waz only a joke man
But, if you read my MOD app, I would organize stuff, protect the forums from immaturity, have fun with the forumers and help them with any problems! -
We all know Frecklez is going to win.
that is, if I don't apply. Oh wait.. I just did.
Darn.I didn't know I had entered a competition. I thought I applied for a position as moderator. A position that requires a person to be more mature than to think their duties are just a game in which they can outshine someone else.
Being a moderator isn't a prize, but a job, Styx. And unless you take it seriously, like I do, I don't think you'll be winning anything any time soon. -

Actually, it is. If it wasn't, then what is the point of having moderators?
-
Well it's serious business, sure. But it's nice to do your job with a big smile on your face unlike some people *cough* DDOT!People don't like it when I give them a smile. They always think I'm up to no good. And those that know me, know that no good usually means someone is going to end up scarred for life. Either physically or psychologically.SooperPickle wrote: »I meant, at the end of the day when your PC is powered down, none of it matters in the real world. Unless, of course, you saved someone's life from a troll who would've made them contemplate suicide.Well, that is what moderators are for. To make sure it doesn't get that far out of hand that people actually start contemplating anything that would affect their real life in a negative way.
