Suggestion for esg

doubt it. after the first few weeks of teams losing. They will stop trying.
Then why not implement some sort of suspension system if your team dies or something, I honestly don't know. This is why i think esg needs to be a paid league.. If you pay, I highly doubt you aren't going to want to try after losing a few times.. -

Yes. We're finally getting somewhere. (: People always gloat about how serious they are in this game. Paying an entree fee would just show how serious these people are. -
teams had 3-5 subs and still forfeited when it was 1 match a week
also 2 matches a week would still be the same map.
there are barely enough teams to fill 1 division, much less 3
Honestly the "Not enough teams" Can't be debated because we actually don't have a average number..
If there's actually a launch tourney to test the AC we should find out, then they should work off of that.. -
I've detailed the problem with negotiating a time other than default in a previous post:
"Many teams have this mentality of non-accommodation/selfishness and believe that inconveniencing the other team will somehow higher their chances of winning a match. I'm not sure where it comes from but they feel like if the team they are facing can't make it to default, then the right strategy is to not accommodate them and take the forfeit win(100% chance of winning vs lower chance of winning while facing them). This is prevalent with the entire spectrum of teams, no matter the talent or integrity.
Hence, can't make it to default: have to forfeit that match."
Regarding subs: if subs are a regular part of roster rotation (read:always a sub per match), it makes practicing more difficult and discourages chemistry within the designated 5 starters. All the teams I've been a part of where the starting players were not often on at the same time have had issues rise from that absence.
Seeing as 1 match a week should make it easier for the s5 too compete together often, it should also make it easier for teams to have tighter bonds/hierarchy. -
I'm pretty sure people will pay if the prizes are good enough and if so, z8 could step in and give the league some frontpage/homepage ad space or promotion to drawn in a lot more people. No league for this game has really been promoted well enough to encourage more teams IMO

fck the 2 week teams. this is the battle of the heavy weights. only the strongest 2 week teams will survive and thats how the get recognized
i know i spelt recognized wrong...if we did 2 matches per week it would make teams work harder, which is better it would spice up the competitive scence heading towards esg.pay to play league my ass. i know i cant pay for this, other probably cant too. screw that LOL
crossfire players crack me up, they are all for "competition", yet all of them refuse to spend any money at all.
reference: WEM/WCG rules "Yea this the best ruleset! Wait you want me to buy armor, **** that these rules suck!"
reference: "I can't use my tar/qbz, why not? They aren't ZP guns. This ruleset sucks!"
reference: "It's unfair that he spent money to get an ak with 5 extra bullets. It completely changes the game, ban please!"
reference: "Forget surveys, and other ways to earn free ZP. Waste of time." -

naw i dont think of it like that LOL. i wouldnt say they sucked, i wouldnt hate the rules if they changed towards the examples you are showing me. i would just play without all that stuff, the thing is i want to participate. thats why i dont want it to be a pay to play league. -

Too many @'s, so I'm going to reply in general to everything.
2 Matches per. Week I +1. It's something I myself and Polleus had talked about back when I was still with WOFL. And to make the suggestion that much more hilarious is the people b%tching they don't have time. But you have to time to practice every night; every other night; play 2-3 hours? If your life schedule is that busy, then you probably shouldn't fit in something that needs commitment. It's that blunt...If people didn't bounce teams so d%mn much you wouldn't need a week to prepare a map. Why do teams like LPK go inactive, then come back and still put up W's? Because they're accustomed to playing with each other. There's less to learn, and more just shaking the rust off and preparing a match.
Pay to Play: Good idea; Always has been. And YES it will work. When I did it for WOFL we had almost 40 teams. Despite the fact that people could have won a trip to WEM, people signed up just to compete. We/They knew the chance was small, but it was still there. A good prize pool will do the same. Serious players and serious teams alike WILL buy in. Quit f%cking saying this community, this community, this community in the context that something will go wrong, or something won't work. I've got the experience with the numbers on WHAT works; what DIDN'T work; what worked ok. Thus why I was confident in making those types of moves despite the negative push behind it. The same people that b%tched about paying to play, paid- AND PLAYED. Most you people can't even stay on a team for a week. How can you give an organized opinion on how something should run, or how well it would run? If you can't operate with minor mechanics in the operation of a team. You sure as h%ll have no clue in the operation of administrating an event.
My Suggestion [for ESG]: STOP GIVING THIS COMMUNITY AN OPINION. We see what happens when people have voices...We have half-a%%ed events and half-a%%ed ideas.
My Suggestion [for ESG Players/Teams]: Save the time on your opinions and suggestions. I suggest you put more time into operating with and for teams. I suggest you actually sit still for a few and see how well your team runs when you actually KNOW your teammates and have played WITH them long enough to know how the react in game through every situation; with every call; against all odds.
Did I touch on everything...? -

About time i agree with bobby on something
But seriously iceman, Any of these would be amazing.
2 matches a week
1 match a week but 9 rounds
1 match a week but a best of 3, 7 rounds.
I seriously think teams have way to much time to practice, And like bobby said, teams shouldn't need that much time to practice a map. -

Maybe 2 matches a week, both times negotiable? Or just play 1 match a week and then create a ladder or something so people don't get bored. I rather enjoy 9 rounds per half, it makes the matches feel more intense, especially the farther you get in the league. Having 1 match/BO3 would be decent, but I think that may even be too long. -
1 Match, best of 3 would be sick.
5-10 hours of practice for 1 match that lasts at the very least 20 mins is so dumb..
best of 3 would be sick..
Basically i think esg should score like wogl does with per half
in wogl, If you won a half you got a point, won both halfs another point, and for winning overall a point, So you'd get 3 points.
I say esg does that with maps though.
Win a map get a point
win both get 2 points. -
I honestly dont understand what is so diffrent between 1 game week with 9 rounds than the traditional 7.
I think the best out of 3 would pretty cool and actually a good idea. To be honest though i think esg is probally going to do 1 game perweek and 7 rounds. Thats just my thought on it. -

Well to be honest, 7 rounds a half on average only takes about 20-30 mins. Sometimes not even. It just seems to short after a week of practice...
And about the negotiable times, I said that in a early post, But i think it was doop that said, teams like to try and gay over teams out of a match, And that's the only problem, Our community blows.
Match on sundays and wens/thurs seems the best. -

It can make a huge difference.
That's 4 extra rounds to turn things around, But as i recall denxi saying,(I think it was, could be wrong) He doesn't like too many rounds because it gives teams more time to turn things around, And that is true, But that is the teams fault for letting them do it.. -

a bad idea would be a ghost mode tournament -

but the best out of 3 would be sick and have the pt scoring. -

what do you know about practice?
when you pretend to be other people do you magically gain their experience as well?
