  • 2-3 matches a week would be good for a couple of reasons. Would likely help give an 8 man roster a chance to let everyone on the roster play. Less time to practice for each map. I don't think people should need a week to prepare for one match.

What does ESEA have to do with this?

    how they schedule their matches
  • Giving a team a whole week to practice for one 20~ minute game is ridiculous.

    No its not lol

This is why you'll never be good.
  • What about people that go to school and work?
  • What about people that go to school and work?

    subs .
  • What about people that go to school and work?

Good point, Thats why there should def still be one match on a weekend,
during the weekdays times could be negotiable.
And you have plenty of subs
  • A lot of the older crowd will be unhappy about 2 matches a week.

    How so ?
  • people could barely schedule 1 match a week in this community, you really think trying to get 2 matches a week scheduled is going to be possible?

    Jobs, obligations, etc.

If people are "older" Most likely would work during the day correct?
how would that be an issue at night? lets saw 9 est
  • As much as I would love more matches... SO many 2 week teams would break up so much faster.

The "older" people are usually in college in this community. That means a lot of discrepancies regarding schedule. You may be available one Monday but unavailable the next one. Same goes for weekends.

fck the 2 week teams. this is the battle of the heavy weights. only the strongest 2 week teams will survive and thats how the get recognized

    i know i spelt recognized wrong... :)

    Thats true,
Then why not make them both negotiable, you know what i mean?
    you also have subs..

But that's why they have 3 subs. It's probably better to have 1 match per week but i would like 2.

i like 2 much better tbh.
  • I just don't like the fact, the average team could spend 2-3 hours a night scriming, 5 nights a week, To get ready for a match that only lasts half an hour max really, because its 7 rounds.. If 2 matches a week can't be played why not make it a 9 round half at least..
  • Although I agree with 2... I predict that it would make teams forfeit more and break apart. (just like past CF leagues)

Erick, most of the teams in this game don't have solid rosters. This saying most of these "teams" would be lucky enough to have 5 on for 1 match a week. :X
  • if we did 2 matches per week it would make teams work harder, which is better :) it would spice up the competitive scence heading towards esg.
  • Match Times & Reschedules
Default Match Times - teams in all division are scheduled for two matches per week. The default match time for each division are:
Invite Division: Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00pm (Conference Time)
Main Division: Thursday and Sunday at 8:30pm (Conference Time)
Intermediate Division: Monday and Thursday at 8:30pm (Conference Time)
Open Division: Monday and Wednesday at 8:30pm (Conference Time)
Match Times - matches can only be played between 5:00pm and 11:30pm conference local time within a window starting from the Sunday preceding the default day to the following Sunday (8 available days).
Reschedules - teams can reschedule any regular season match as needed if the new match time is mutually agreed upon by both team captains

    Match Scheduling & Server Assignments
Initiating a Match Offer - Either the captain or designated scheduler from the home or away team can initiate a match offer. When initiating a match offer, the captain proposes a match time and server from the pre-populated server list
Countering a Proposed Match Offer - the opposing team's captain or scheduler has 24 hours to accept the offer or initiate a counter-offer. If the opposing team does not accept the match offer, then they can either:
"Reject" a proposed match offer, which will allow the captain to propose BOTH a new match time and server
"Accept Match Day & Reject Server" for a proposed match offer, which will allow the captain to propose a new server for the proposed match day. If a new server is selected that is different from the last server proposed, one of the two will be randomly selected to settle the dispute
Un-agreeable Match Offers - if both team captains cannot agree upon a new match time within 24 hours of the default match time, the match will automatically be assigned to the divisional default match time. The game server will then be randomly assigned to a random server within the conference

    Forfeit Wins & Loses
If a team does not have five players in the server "readied up" after 20 minutes from the originally scheduled match time, then the opposing team can force them to play with four. If they cannot field four, then the other team will be able to submit a forfeit win. The captain of the team should use the ".reportffw" in the game in order to submit the forfeit win. He can also report the forfeit win in #esea.support or through a Website Support Ticket.
Below is the listed amount of times a team may forfeit before they are placed inactive in the league.
All Divisions: Four matches per season

doubt it. after the first few weeks of teams losing. They will stop trying.

    Why would they forfeit more?
If you have a 3-5 subs there should be no need to forfeit whatsoever..

Really that is why you MUST have a solid roster..
esg needs to have 2 divisions at least, even 3 would be good.. Open Intermediate and pro.

teams had 3-5 subs and still forfeited when it was 1 match a week
also 2 matches a week would still be the same map.

there are barely enough teams to fill 1 division, much less 3
