Awesome guys, but wouldn't it be just easier for a ping cap?
Not complaining or anything but I see allot of problems with this the can easily change IP and stuff.
I think it will be just easier to get a ping cap on servers than this....
Anyway cool but to bad for the other players from different countries that won't be able to play cf just to bad....
Talked about the problem, gave my solution for the problem that's it so ya not hating or something still a great thing but just to bad for the other people that won't be able to play cf even if there ping is better than most people from the UK or NA them self...
Mehh life isn't fair anyway >_>
Anyway, I hope this will work for CF. -
There are alot of misconceptions here. I'll try to clear them up
If you currently have an account with Z8Games them you are exempt from the IP restrictions this means that you are still able to access the game even if you are in a restricted region. However you will not be able to make a new account after the system is put in place.
Now, only players within the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom (please see my thread on what constitutes the UK [Yes ROI, this means you aswell]) will be able to make new accounts to play CF with.
Registration is still open to all regions, but restricted regions will not be able to play CF on accounts made after the update.
Brazilians are getting very defensive right now. This decision has NOT been made in spite of you. All Brazilians (and every other country) can continue playing CF, assuming your accounts do not get banned. If you do not cheat then you should not be worried.
This game was always intended for USA, Canada and UK players. Any other country should not technically be playing this version.
Next, people have shown concern about being able to join a server not located in your country. You will still be able to connect to any server you choose. For example, a UK player will still be able to connect to Echoand vice versa. This is because your IP will be checked upon startup/login, not by the game servers itself.
Also, nowhere has it been stated that a BR server is coming. It has not been announced and it is based on assumptions;)
I hope this has cleared things up
Finally, the use of an IP hider will not work. Your ping will render the game unplayable
P.S I typed this out on a Nintendo DS... it took a bloody long time.... -

I'd assume the new IP wouldn't be "registered" and then would be blocked from accessing the servers.
On a side note. Excuse me while I fap vigorously to the first post. -

Today we are announcing an evolution in the NA/UK version of Cross Fire with the introduction of IP restrictions for players outside North America and The UK.
I'm too lazy to read through the whole thread so I'll ask here. What do you mean by IP restrictions? What I'm thinking is you're finding the location of the player based on the IP and then not letting them play (with a new account). Wouldn't it be more useful to put a ping limit on the game instead of restricting IP's based on location? A simple ping to their IP and if higher then, say, 150, they can't play. Simple, and a far better solution (IMO)

http://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=162457 What about this? Unless you mean that Z8 is making a South America CF (Which I will **** bricks) but I'm guessing it will be just another server =\ -

Right next to Giggletron.
Congradulations.
Me : Why are you even playing in E8?
Giggletron : I still have those replays of you blatantly cheating and staring through walls. Ill report right now and get you banned.
That happened about a month or two ago, and I'm still not banned
It might've been Rex but Im pretty sure it was giggle
