  • The only way I actually believe that would stop cheating is to make players afraid to cheat.
    Which is almost impossible.
  • My internet for some odd reason it's ping never seems to be stable.

In the morning I get 40-50 ping, in the afternoon I get like 60-70 ping, after dinner from like 8 pm to 11 pm I get about 120-140 ping and about 11:30 pm it starts decreasing again to 40-50 ping.

I usually dont play after dinner lol, just wait a few hours.

In ping restricted servers if I joined at a certain time and my ping then caped the maximum ping available to join such servers would I be able to be there still or would it auto kick me?

That's because the more people using the Internet in your neighborhood, the slower each person's own connection will be.

As for your question, you should be able to join the ping capped room/server when your ping I'd below the limit, but when above you won't be able to get into them
  • I actually don't know how much of the game is already server side. i would immagine the folowing things to be on the server though;

    all the items you have
games rooms, including, time, kills, rounds, scores, and C4
who gets mutated and who doesn't

this might make it easier (ish) to create a server side hacking solution. i think if the server were just able to remotely scan players, that it would be a LOT harder to hack.

i think the way hacks are made is by looking at xtrap, and thinking of a way to get through it. if the hack coders did not have access to whatever was stopping them, and had no idea why their hack wasn't working, it would be harder to figure out a way to mask their hack. I think like 99 percent of PUB hacks would be blocked, and maybe a couple VIP hacks would still be able to work, but it would drastically decrease the hacking situation.
  • Master Seargent+ servers. Possibly higher. No hacker would want to try and rank up that much just to annoy people.

Rank doesn't determine if the person decides to cheat or not. I've seen majors cheat, it's not the rank, it's the player.

I don't think hacks can be eliminated, but prevented [as you've stated]. The only way I could see this, is to continue what they are doing, but at a more constant state. Constant X-Trap updates which make hack developers work around the clock to find the fix to would make them tired, and give up on the hack.
  • I just found out that Z8 is ADVERTISING crossfire in popular Brazilian websites.
This just seems silly, Brazil is on another continent from the host servers so why encourage people to play a game they'll lag so bad in?

The biggest factor in hacking is High Ping. Low pings have much less reason to hack because the massive amount of high pingers are very easy to kill and maintain a positive KDR and win/loss record against. So the "I want to win at all cost" group and the "I think everyone is hacking so I'll hack too" groups don't show up on low pings, leaving only the "I'm so bored with this game, so I'll hack to make it funner" group is left.

So another thing to help reduce the hacking would be to stop advertising to Brazil.

lmao wow........ advertising on brazil sites...... that's just rediculous.......

The only reason I could think of for them to advertise there would be they are thinking of making a brazil server. If not then z8 has intentionally screwed us and I have lost all faith in them.

edit* actually after hearing that I am never buying zp again, and I've spent about $500 on this game.

Although what you said was true, about 90% of the hackers are below Mast.Sarg., if we had 2nd + and 1st + LT servers it would help alot.

Master.Sargeant + Servers would still be a low rank.

And with 1st + and 2nd + Lt servers if a hacker was banned I dont think he would farm purposedly just to hack on those servers, let's face it, this is simple to do and would help by a lot!

Staff sarg + just doesnt help, you can achieve it in a matter of days.

    1.ban brs (best)
    2.ping limited servers
3.new uk server for second lieutenants or higher

    limit level server
that means rockies hack.er can not get in,or what?

What about high level hac.ker ?

As I said before, with 1st and 2nd + LT servers hackers wouldnt go down by 100% but would make the gameplay very enjoyable for those who play for more time, would at least reduce about 90% of the hackers, and if some LT hacked and was banned, then he would have to rank up till LT on another account, and I think hackers wouldnt lose so much time just to hack on a particular server.

EDIT: Seriously this seems to be the best and simplest sollution out there, why cant we have those 2 specifical servers if we already got staff sarg + servers? That really dont help.
  • reason why we had so much 1 hit, speed hack, it's bcuz thx to the client side reg.
bcuz the client side it's so much easier to by pass ..

i am Chinese, i played CF CN when i was there, there's is no speeders, or 1 hitters at all, i had asked around , n people said never got such hack like that b4.. but their it's always a few vip aimbots, n chammers..
n most of the hackers will get ban so soon. n ban listed was on the CF CN official page.
  • hey guys, i have a surprise for you!!!!!!!!!!

WE ALREADY HAVE A RANK RESTRICTED SERVER!!!

    know what else?
playing there sucks because its full of nub farming idiots. nobody plays there.

I play in delta because it has like a quarter the amount of hackers as alpha does.
  • What about ip addresses, i know they can ban a ip but the hacker will get a easy ip changer and bamm, back on hacks again.

BUT: if Z8 would force a ip address to be available in order to play or create accounts, use the mall and deposit pages, or even just visit the forums. I know its possible to change your ip but thats harder then hiding it, people who really want to hack will get around it but it will stop the hacking little kids.

it's their business, attracting people to play the game will make'em more money, doesnt matters from where .-.
so i wouldn't be impressed if z8games advertises crossfire over egypt germany and such...
  • Tell a br to tell his friend to quit..Let the chain continue. Good game.

To be more serious, leave it to x-trap even though they're failing.
  • people already spend money on VIP and ZP, they won't mind spending a dollar.
  • I suggested this a while back. We need extreme anti-hacker measures. Stop the creation of new accounts by register, allow only friend invites. Clear out the remaining hackers. Who invites a hacker to create a new account and is caught hacking will also get a 7,15,30 day block from the game for inviting hackers!

This way, you may lose some users, but will filter out all hackers and hacker friends who make this game infected.

After the measures of ban will be thorougly applied, the hacker will have NO account to use in order to hack, because no one will invite him to create a account, not wanting to risk their own account for a person they do not know/do not trust!

they're going to sacrifice too much money for that :/
its a little too hrsh too, i think just a hired cheater hunter would do that .-.
like, a guy with preference on the report system, that will hunt down cheaters through the servers :3
  • I don't think it would be great to introduce "time cap" like running too fast -> kick, etc... The game will become heavier and maybe only for a lucky shot you got kicked. So I think:
    1) possibility to save report after getting kicked/left at the half of a match.
    2) in-game-report-system.
    3) (something like power of kicking players from both sides for a small elite of old and never banned players).
    4) exp. and GP bonus for reporting hackers.
    5) (auto upload of random screenshots for checking if there is any sign of hacking).
    6) decrease time of "limited vote" after one vote fails.
    7) a feedback system for players to players. Votes can be given in every moment to everyone. Extremely negative feedback players will be checked.

Maybe some of them have sense o_o

    8) (24h waiting before receiving the confirmation e-mail, so hackers can't use 10minutes mail and similar).
  • Close the registration and see how the number of hackers will decrease.
  • iiMarley wrote: »

...and watch the player base decrease.
  • I've seen people on the forums comment with "+1," and I've noticed that in other forums, they have a Karma system. The Karma thing is basically where there are buttons next to the poster's name that lets you give them a + or minus (It's like giving a person a thumbs up or thumbs down like a youtube video).

With that said, I wanted to expand on this:

    7) a feedback system for players to players. Votes can be given in every moment to everyone. Extremely negative feedback players will be checked.

At the end of each match (you know, when the scoreboard appears), there'll be a + and - button beside every player's name. If the MAJORITY of the people in the room press -, then that person gets a -1 for his Karma. If a MOD presses the - button, the -1 point is immediately awarded regardless of whether or not the Majority presses -.

After a person reaches -10, the servers automatically save the persons replays and send them to be reviewed. If all replays of that person are reviewed, and he/she doesn't hack, his/her Karma is set back to zero, and the person is given a star or something by his name. the star (or some other indicator) tells other people to not be so hasty when pressing the - button. The star wears off after two months (or some other fixed amount of time).

After a person receives three stars (or some other indicator), the minus button for that person disappears until a star wears off.

If you find an upstanding person that's just nice to chat with and play with, you can press +, and after that person receives five pluses, they get a +1 for their Karma.

I'd also like to see this on the forums, too (except, there are no rooms and such, so a - is -1 for their Karma). Once a person has over 500 posts and a high karma count, the GMs will be notified, and from there, the GMs can review their posts and maybe even make them a Moderator.

    Other ideas I liked:

I don't like number three because it's possible for some people to farm their account and have their account for over a year. these people might kick some skilled players.

At least the power of kicking both sides with normal kick system o.o"
    Thit won't be overpowered.
  • Great post dude i think ping reduced servers are great it realy pi***s me off when peopple with pings of 2k come on to the english sever and are "Teliporting" all over the map thats when i give up one other thing they could do is when people are speed hacking they should have a thingi if you go to fast they get auto kicked out the game one other thing they can do is ad i kick script to all the maps as most hacking is on HM just allow the players to get rid off the hackers out off there room so they can have a nice fair game :)
