Competitive scene in CF is as dead as SF's.

funny how tae is talking about competitive scene when he never joined a league or cup..
all he does is brag about lol and idknowwhy since hes awful at it..
now on topic, ofc competitive scene is not as active as before.
now if you find 5's theres at least 2 ringers and they are allways saying that they dont try lalalalala. when that wasted time could of been used to pratice strats.
joined esl cup, join wogl s1. I don't play this game a lot anymore so sup. -
It's every time a new team is trying to get competitve people will troll that team cuz they did bad its a new team..with no chemistry then to have lil kids 15-16 say u blow at the game give up, well that don't really help them stay together as a team and just end up dying. Therefor competitve side is dying.

Regarding SF because I ****ing love that game:
The majority of CF or CS players who play SF will most likely dislike it because of the innaccuracy of the rifles. At long range your bullet management has to be amazing; you will never have a 100% accurate shot, so you have to spam bullets as much as possible and still keep them within a small enough area. The lack of instakill headshots also contributes.
When I played I found that there was much more emphasis on positioning. Also if you could click as fast as the AK shot, you were set recoil wise. -

SF is amazing, one of the only games where the bullet is not always in the middle of the crosshair. Leaning, V jumping and etc are all something that you don't see in your everyday FPS games. -

Have you played Urban Terror? Reminds me a lot of SF for some reason, comparing the two in my head doesn't really provide that many similarities though lol -

Nope, never played Urban Terror. I played competitive SF for a while due to my friend being a top player in that game. It is very much like CF, the top teams stayed there. My friend had been the top team leader for a few years already. -

My experience with SF was limited; played for a year and a bit, I played competitively (kind of, not really) with WWTP (iK_Team remake before they actually remade iK_Team), and played a bit with LiveNDie. I ran an entry level CH10 team (Colossal, where I met dag). So I don't have incredible competitive experience in SF, but that game is fun as ****. -

I was having chill scrims with my friend's team winOut. My friend later joined confound early last year in order to win Nats and compete in korea though. The game is no longer competitive but the community is still way better than CF's.SF was the best game I ever played, I had the most fun when i competed in the competitive scene, IMO the community was a lot better back then, don't get why you people are hating.
I'm not hating, but this game's competitive community is turning to SF's. -

Was your friend Alt*F4? I forget if he was ever on Confound.
Actually a guy from Colossal (Smite, known as Brownie) moved up to some top 5 team, was pretty awesome.
Best part of that game was getting dominated by good players, then having them agree to keep playing us. -

I know I haven't touched a LoL league, but I can easily do decent in ESL if I find a decent team. -

Did I say that I do good against people in CF? No wonder you go on an alt, you are stupid and you know you make yourself look like a dumbass. G0774 s4v3 7h47 r3p. -
hmm confound sounds familiar. i met two guys in blackshot that said they were from that team i believe. one of them was brunch and i forget the other guys name but he said he was like the best sniper in the game 0.o
the game felt like crap when i tried it and that was a few years ago
the competitive scene at this point is pretty tight imo. a few months ago it was:
LL
~
~
~
the rest basically
because of wcg breaking teams apart and the game is getting old(boring, etc), many people lost interest. the competitive scene is what the players make of it and it just turns out we've been having a negative impact. it's just a shame this game attracts mainly minors but that's what games are. You play them to have fun at a young age. the competition part is a joke to begin with -
rofl? this is my alt?
and i was thinking this was my main..
why do i have to go get on an alt?
like i said before go play lol and try to be good at it, and the reason you cant find a team is because of your anoying voice.
The reason why I don't have a team is because I do not even plan to play LoL competitively. If you do not know I never really talk in my actual voice on vent, anyone who I talk with on vent knows that. -

hmm none of those sound familiar unless they used a different name. oh well could be someone claiming to be who they aren't
edit: dan could possibly be the second guy but meh doesn't matter -

Dan did used to snipe for confound but alt is a far better sniper. -
It's weird coz, more and more people play this game everyday. I don't know about the NA, but the EU/UK servers are packed 20/24 hours each day. Which goes to show that A LOT of people play this game. So the main reason I can think why the competitive scene is somewhat inactive, yet we have full servers with active players, is purely because of the fact that players in this game are unpatient (unloyal) with teams, and team leaders don't have what it takes most of the time. Either give up after the 1st lost scrim, the 1st innerteam argument or 1st team betrayal drama. Like someone previously said, it's hard for a new team with litle chemestry to stay together to improve with all the trolls around. If you don't scrim often you'd be surprised how often people have to take sheiiit from some troll just coz they lost a scrim or a match.
However like I said, if you seriously can't deal with kids like that and you let them take the best of your temper and time, your team is bound to fall appart because your team mates don't want to hear you troll back or w.e.. What they need is reassurance that you can only improve from a bad game, not let it destroy your drive to succeed. Grating cheese here but, somewhat true? -

taeyeoNNNNNN wrote: »This game is already dying, even with WCG on the way. IMO, WCG might not even pick NA up next year due to the lpw amount of competition that this game provides. Every top team list you only see 2-4 teams that actually earned their spots on that list. The results had been the same the past few years, it was either LL or LPK that is giving each other competitions and since LPK is going to play in the American qualifier, their only real competition will be [dws] and HSW. In the case of CA WCG, LL does not have a team that can showcase their true strength. Minty was a great asset to the team but with WCG seperating US and CA, Lifeline will be a far weaker team than expected but even then their only competition will be C2. This is only the WCG aspect.
The leagues of this game had lost their credibility ever since kc had admitted bypassing their AC with ease. With that said, you will not know how many players are actually cheating in these leagues. Whats worse is that WCG ha absolutely no anti-cheat. This community is evidently filled with what some categorizes as 'pre-teens', so their honesty is going to be in question. It is possible that in the upcoming qualifiers, there will be multiple teams that will use 3rd party programs to go to the US LAN qualifier. So what of they get destroyed in the qualifier to South Korea? As amateurs all they will do is brag about how they have acheived something in CF by making it to the final US qualifier.
Another thing that raises my awareness to how good the competitive scene is, will be the league bans. I am not naming names on this thread but there is one player who is blatantly bypassing league bans in WOGL-O. When I inform a WOGL admin about it they require me to log a ticket. If WOGL really cares about people who are getting around league bans then they will get on the case right away and not have me take my time logging a ticket to help you do work. I have complained about that team for using illegal players multiple times already but nothing had been done. I am not going to log a ticket for something that should have been done a while ago. I don't play the league at all, it is not my responsibility but WOGL admin's duty.
My rant ends here for I am tired and will be heading back to sleep. Tried to make it as comprehendable as possible, but you can only do so much when typing on a phone.
tldr; game will die soon.
You do have a point here, WOGL doesn't seem as interested in CrossFire anymore and as well they haven't done anything to players playing 'illegally' from my point of view.

The bid for the 2012 Grand Finals is in London, UK and Indonesia at the moment. With THAT said; Cross Fire won't be on the ballet. Grab the hyperlink, and bookmark this because I'm 100% certain of my prediction. The scene dying is not only the communities fault here. The MARKETING f'ing sucks on both G4Box's end AND WOGL's. The competitive scene was only ever marketed ONCE. And that was the first season when Kayne and I actually emailed and contacted various gaming websites, podcasts, etc...G4Box can say they care all they want, and they're working towards providing for the competitive community, but in reality....COMPETITION ISN'T CONTENT! Same with WOGL....get out there and drop emails with eSports hosting on the web. ADVERTISE your leagues. ADVERTISE YOUR GAME. MMO sites aren't the hub for competitive players. ESL's not out of it either. I've not seen anything from that party either. Your new still...time to work up. TAKE MY ADVICE AND MARKET. The scenes die because there's no traffic. With old players going out, you need new players coming in. This is VERY GENERAL marketing. Bottom line; Despite the community....you need the traffic. Without marketing, there is no traffic. THAT is why the competitive side WILL die. I'd explain it more, but I'm sure common logic will grasp what I'm saying. I don't want to make an even longer tl;dr.
The leagues lost their credibility long before KC admitting to hacking on client. Everyone KNEW people were bypassing the clients...does no one remember Archy? I'm certain there were MORE people between the Archy era and the KC era. With little to no actual AC Staff, this WILL happen. Can't monitor everything if no one's monitoring anything.
Ban evades happen. Nothing new...Only so much you can do. I'm certain 60% of the banned players EVER have come back to play in league matches. There's not enough tools in place to prevent this. -
I think we should find a way to ban all thoose hacckers, like include an AC permantely so haaackers action willl decrease, then try to fix the competitive issues, i know the basic lines of league like wog, wcg, esl. And from my point of view they all neeed major improvement, from the experience i have in other games leagues such as cs 1,6 and source, and console league. I think they need more people to answer players question and improve thing such as AC cause im sure if i put a little bit of time to, it i will easily by pass it but who cares. Theres alots of thing we could do, but the competitve community need to work as an unit to find out what we should change, in my opinion there should be at least one league with a minimum of age to eliminate all thoose lifeless preteens (no offense kids). But the major point i think is the lack of communication between both parties, the league and players, but rayeooon i really think you should ive sent a ticket for that guy by passing the **** even tho its not funny to do it i agree. But i think the league and the players both want an amelioration so lets work togethers on it ! and maybe we should do a league that make players pay like a really small amount of money like 5$ each player so that league would have ppl that want to stay in the league and that league would have money to invest into such things as an AC, rules or prizes. And i know me and Jeesus could run such thing as a big new league i dont say i wanna do it but i think it worth to consider it a little bit.
