If you think America is more advanced then China, I disagree strongly.
Since China is very secretive and never says anything to the public, I think China has more advanced technology then America/most of the world. Also China has been fighting more wars then America, so China will have better tactics. :P

You do not understand and are obviously ignorant, there are obviously politics involved. The US cannot just go slaughtering vietnamese left and right because the US thinks they are insurgents, if the US did, the war would have ended a whole lot sooner. The "rules" stated in this thread generally imply total war, in other words like WW2, civilian casualties really do not matter and you are fighting for the survival of your country. If that was the case in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US would have destroyed those countries years ago searching for Saddam/Bin Laden by just bombing the **** out of it and shooting first and asking questions later, but they are stopped by politics obviously, and also they have a goal to create a democracy and freedom in those countries, not alienate every single person over there.
Also, you have to realize insurgents play a very different role in wars, they mingle with the population and are very difficult to detect, especially in communities where they may be supported by their neighbors and whatnot. They can attack and disappear near instantly, and can be a heavy nuisance e.g. IED's being the #1 killer of US militarymen in Iraq. In my opinion, in order to destroy Insurgents, you must first win the hearts of the community first or absolutely throw fear into their very hearts so they would give away the Insurgents information, but this is coming from a regular guy so, take it or leave it.
As for the actual thread, I am fairly sure America would win as they have better technology in basically all terms of military. However, many 20 years from now or 30, the tide may turn. America is being stretched out as being the "defender of the world" and basically gives loads of money to many different countries while disregarding its deficits, it will one day collapse if the trend keeps going. China is also growing extremely powerful, having one of the fastest growth rates right now, but the wealth is basically split, there is an extremely poor class in China and an extremely wealthy class also. It is not like America where generally everyone can support themselves (if you count 2 parents working at McDonalds supporting themselves, which is techincally true as it averages 34k a year per household with government aid). China's citizens do not get much government aid and their salaries are much lower than americans. Let me look it up right now....

It states that an Airline Pilot for Chinese only makes 761$ a month on average (an Airline Pilot from the US makes 100K US a year). Average salary per year for a chinese person is 4,325 USD.
So all in all, US win now, China may win later, at the rate China is growing it will win later.
Their technology is no match against cunning x 1billion. China may seem to have least advanced weapon technology than the U S, it may probably because China doesn't want to reveal it for now.
US wins but, their victory may lead to a disaster, as seen in majority of their money spent in military. Their consumption in resources are a major concern to all... As of chinese kids defending chinese only, I am chinese, but I just find that US is just stronger. This is a debate thread, and pretty much will remain a debate thread unless definitive proof is given like an actual war between the 2 states, but I mean as long as we back up our arguments with some level of knowledge or logic, it'll remain a decent thread.
As for China being really sneaky, yes, I guess they are very sneaky compared to say US's government which compared to China, is alot more open. But, there is only so much you can expand in the span of what 30 years? China's military spending is not going to higher than the US even with cost of living and other price levels adjusted. There is only so much you can expand.
And Fringe, you still haven't explained to me why my post was invalid. -

If China goes against the US...China would lose in my opinion. Like mentioned before, the US has been fighting recently which means they're more prepared for a fight. Maybe they'll even drop another nuke...you never know...

I think the only reason they haven't won is because they can't bomb every bish there because, dont remember this well, if they do, they'll be bombing history. Supposedly a place where bunch religions were born. I cant remember it well though...
Those people have also practiced terrorism for centuries...the US is new to this kind of thing.
