Will Solar Storms kill the technology?

The notice it's been around a couple of years, but 2010 is here and is yet to be seen if this is going to affect in a major way or not.

A lot of theories about things going on in space are pretty much a guess. (like those guys saying everything will explode in a million years...)

I don't know what to believe to be honest...
People invent things just to see how far those lies goes.
Governments hides stuff that affects most of us but, their own safety seems to go first.
