This only works in pubs, an entire team of these type of GR would be murdered by a single good BL player with a knife and bhoping.Funny thing is, I BARELY see anybody saying that they listen to breath anymore as an excuse. Simple steps to be great at GM as GR:
100 Gamma
Rushing
Shooting at the slightest movement
Assault Rifle
Shooting at common camp spots for ghosts -
I like this idea. ^^Just test it without Bdown and see how it goes, Bdown is not needed aslong as you have a group of players that work together as a team something that you rarely see these days in GM as teams are always carried by 1 or 2 people
Edit: and if your gonna allow 3 out of 5 bl to use bdown then for GR the same rule should apply to silnced weapons. -

This isn't good. If you have 2 players with out bdown, they will get wrecked. Mainly because they will be heard first from further distances. A team of BL with no bdown is harder to PP when they rush site but easier to dodge. A team of BL with all bdown on is harder to hear and from shorter distances but players are still able to PP bdown.
A team of all bdown is perfect, it balances out the mode. -

I've never used bdown and held my own against the best of them, it's just a matter of practice and game sense. -

you have to consider my post cuz I am a nerd and a noob so yeah. Its just dumb to have 3 out of 5 enither 0 out of 5 or 5 out of 5 and no orm is stupid no bl team is that organized as of this momment to top frag a top gm team without bd. -
I've used Bdown before, found it to be useless, and just kept my style of rushing and bhopping. Once you get a hang of where the enemy likes to camp or go to, it's pretty easy to win. Normally just death from above works fine.
Playing with deaf/no sound users is not Old School. Neither bhopping with a shovel and rushing. -
Ghost mode needs something new, we need to make a new upgraded ghost mode (Like Fantom mode) where its 3 ghosts that have armor and heavy and powerful weapons, they must take out both bomb sites GR reponse after a long amout of time the ghost team does not, ghost team or rather BL is made from 3 players, they dont respon after being killed, but they have a high ammount of hp,
Or just add a map, make it harder to see ghosts, fix ghost mode, -
Well like I said before, trail and error. I'd say have some good GM players come together, test a couple of things out and decide together while contrasting the pros and cons and hopefully being able to balance it to a point where it can be considered "old school".
As a side note: I don't know who this Ceejay is and I've never heard of him. Nor has he probably heard of me. But you guys give him too much credit, from what I heard he just adjusted his headphones settings to make ghost breath louder. (Is what I heard, not sure if it's true or not) But if that's true that's incredibly unfair because it just plays on the fact that people with more money will buy better headphones or w/e to gain an advantage on everyone else.

Ceejay, also known as helldeath also known as Jsx. A former member of panthers.
You don't need money to gain the ability to hear ghost's breath better, a standard computer most of the time already has these capabilities and depending on the card allow you to do so.
Whats unfair about GM, is that people HAVE to spend money on headphones to play GR properly. You don't need to spend a dime on BL. -

lol. credit he deserve it. But as for all hes not the only that desver it but if you meet him lmfao he problly 18-0 u no offence. as for get some gmer back someone gonna have to ask ching sin and all of them to come back to even make it competative. -

Also, the point of making it competitive is to use the remaining and bring skill back and in general have the newer generation of GMers gain more skills. Basically make new legends. Not bring old school players back. Don't misunderstand the concept. I mean, ching isn't even that good. lmfao. -

I think Talon pointed out the most important thing:
GR is overpowered when there is no breathdown. No weapon will change it. When there is breathdown BL is slightly overpowered. Maybe you could set up rules like "only 50% of all players may use breathdown per team". But that is really hard to control. Every player would have to provide screenshots.
i disagree when you say GR is overpowered without breathedown. Remember the fact that most GM games are in pubs, and in public game most people don't have good headsets. Only a few people on the GR side will actually be able to hear breathing and pinpoint the location. -

Just going off of what I heard, the older panthers members aren't around often enough to give me any real clue as to who is who. Regardless this particular player is exceptional even in the drafts of the serious gm players.
HTC innovation? As for headphones, yeah they can usually make a difference. All I use is $40 Sony's and their deep bass helps me. Generally earbuds are the worst, but all the cards do is amplify what the headphones already can do.
I do agree how I would love to see GM come back, for a number of reasons, the respect it deserves, people to get interested in it and learn, and just for the overall fun of it. it was my first game i ever played and i've made it my focus since playing through thick and thin. would be nice to see if there's something new that i cna learn from those who come. -

repley of the last esl ghost mode cups just happens ching and the old heads of the gm darkboss came and won all 3 cups. thats what you think ching is not even that good but ching carry like a G. espcially when the cup was ran without bd. and phoenix you haven't play the competitive side of gm in a long time things has changed. -
