Kelathe vs Brazil 2010
Of course you do not want to get into it. as a MOD your job/mission/assignment is to protect the game. In this case it is protecting the butts of Z8. You need to discourage anyone from pointing out the flaws in Z8 handling of this situation even if you agree with them.
At least your honest, that is a remarkable thing when it comes to on line gaming and the mods and GM of any game. -
No, for causing disruption amongst their slowly kneading weave of attempting to recollect their stature of peace and prosper, digging at their heels at points that are usually ignored. Heh, I am the pest. And no one likes a pest.
Yes, because it not like anyone else has made any threads complaining about hackers and Br's and "threatening" Z8/Smilegate. -

Same thing with Americas false terminology against Mexicans, it makes no difference how much they're hated, they like us, are still a human being and deserve every fair right to play this game. -

A good portion of these problems(from my perspective) could be taken care of by simply giving us ping restricted rooms. I know its been suggested but from what i see you are more of a "players mod" when it comes to these type of things. I understand G4box will never ban Brazil but they could do everyone else a solid by letting us separate our selves from the Brazilians.
Giving us the ability to limit rooms to sub 50 sub 100 sub 150 etc ping would basically allow us in NA/Britain to enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played. No more fdp hakker kik kik kik! I don't want to be the only one in a room that speaks English. Personally as someone that has spent money on the game I simply want to enjoy the game w/ people that have similar ping, speak the English language and by in large don't hack nearly as much as the Brazilians do(those that say RACISM!?! consider this; I've seen hundreds of speedhack users in the last couple weeks of those only 2 had a ping lower than 180.) -

If they're are going to do that sort of "divide" they may as well create another version of Crossfire for South America. Beyond me why they haven't. -

Licensing for one, two, there's no real need to do so. Three, money. They wouldn't need to restrict anyone if they corrected and maintained properly. -

This, they aren't licensed to set up servers outside of NA/GB. They could give us ping filters though, and that's what bugs me, how much effort does it take to code in ping filters? -

Actually I think it could take quite a bit, since as far as I know, only retail games have such features. I don't know if CS also has it, I think they had a more unique system. No other games I know have such advanced filters. We don't even have pings displayed in lobby yet, so its doubtful we'll be getting ping limiters anytime soon. -

Ping filters are as old as PC gaming my friend, basically if you try to enter a room w/ over a certain ping you can't and if you clear a certain ping for over a few seconds you get kicked. Most every fps from the battlefield series to cs and css gives the server admins the ability to to limit the ping of the visitors of their server. -

Never played the game, wouldn't know. Hrm, this I did not know, but as noted it seemed it was mainly for retail games as CS and BF were mainly noted. But it may be a feature in our version at some point. But I doubt its at the top of their priority list. -

Money is obviously on top of their priority list. -

Its all good, just letting you know its not a tough thing for any game to code in, the problem is getting the message communicated in a way that we might see that added to our version though it isn't needed in places like South Korea where the game is from. The mods are literally our only mouthpiece when it comes to letting G4box know what we would like to see and though the coding is being done overseas they will never know how much we need ping filters unless we let them know.
In reality even though you don't see your ping, it doesn't mean the game isn't able to compare your ping verses what has been set for the ping tolerance. The problem is the fact it requires them to code something for our version and this simply isn't something the devs care to much about doing as it cost money.
I've seen the same thing play out in other Korean imports and lets just say I'm not too encouraged by what I've seen from G4box or any of the companies that host these licensed games. This is the thing if you don't make it very clear what you want you will never get it and for us in NA/GB; we really need ping filters. -

This game could use alot of features, however before any features can/should be added, the foundations of the game, company and community should be fixed first and foremost. That itself is one big step to a better gaming experience and community as a whole. Isolation is not always the answer, as it only distances and strengthens the already bad tensions. -
Seriously?
Its his attempt to get the thread closed most likely.
OT: I've heard about people agreeing or disagreeing with these statements, but I do wonder, 'why?'. I'd like to actually hear feedback about such or thoughts that are within reason to such opinions. I welcome them as its broader for the mind.
EDIT: Going to bed, need sleep. Long busy day. -

I think that states, in pretty simple terms, such things that need to be more readily enforced. Don't you agree? You are actually the ones that can UNDERSTAND English, but still break the rules. Just because THEY treat YOU like crap, doesn't mean you have to stoop to their level and do the same to them.
What Kelathe is doing is proving a point. He is doing it quite well in my opinion. Such things need to be re-read, reviewed, re-written, and enforced correctly. Plain, period, end of story. -
