I agree with this.. We should have a server where our pings matter. Put a ping limit on alpha please,that would solve this problem.

Edit:Wait there are 4 UK servers? WTF? Keep them assigned to the UK not allowing them in any other servers. Either get a BR server or scratch them out completely;)
This isn't CA where I can't play with my American friends. I live in the UK, I play in the clan server/alpha/bravo/charlie daily, don't even think about it. 120 ping is not bad. I have little more ping than a west coast American. -

I am pleased to see so much positive support to this. I'm just asking for one server for North America only, not all. I have friends in the UK i play with, but I would play with them outside of the North American server.
I'm dissapointed that we have yet to hear from an admin on this subject, but expect If we keep pushing support for this that we will hear from them.
Also I agree It would probably work out better if Ping restrictions were added as well as IP due to the fact with the right software and a proxy IP's are easily manipulated.

I tottaly agree with this idea. I can't enjoy 1 game without a BR with 200+ ping flying around all over the place.I know that the servers are based here, but What I am suggesting is a server with IP restrictions excluding BR's and Euro's. I pay alot of money out to this game just to have my experience ruined by BR's with a 200+ ping. Sense z8 has refused a BR server, as they are not licensed to market the game in south america, I would LOVE to see this happen. People in the UK now are able to enjoy playing with people with an average ping due to their servers that BR's wouldnt even be able to attempt to play on. Why shouldn't people in North America, the biggest money market for the company, be able to enjoy the same experience. I know this Idea will more than likely be shot down, or something said along the lines that this idea is liked, but then just nothing get done about it.
The effort should be made to satisfy your North American Players and give them the ability to play with players with local pings... -
I support this idea but would take it a step further and make it a Canada & USA ONLY server. Before anyone replies and says "Isn't that what we're talking about?', not exactly.
The North American continent extends from Greenland to Panama. Now, if you're splitting the Americas into 3 [North, Central, South], that would be Greenland to Mexico. Yes, Mexico is part of North America, not Central America. So, instead of getting into a debate over what countries should be part of a North American server, just make it Canada & USA ONLY and I think that should make everyone happy. -
But why would the BR's go to the UK server? The suggestion isn't to ban them completely from the CA and US servers, forcing them to go play on UK servers. It's for 1 NA or Canada & USA only server. You are misreading, We're just asking for 1 server. BR's wouldnt attempt to play on the UK servers, if they did it would be useless... Further more like Its been said they would simply move to the other NA servers.
This is also another point I was making, you guys get to enjoy the game with out them lagging your servers and ruining your experiences, why shouldnt we enjoy the same experience...
And I do agree that the server would need to be for Canada and the US only. -
SUPPORT 100% all the BRs do is cry when u kill them everytime calling us hakerz when in reality they dont c you in time do to the latencey. im just saying if they get there own server they could go run around killing each other and having a good time and not ruining the game for us who actually live close enough to the servers. If z8 cant give them there own server they should make us our own specific servers so we dont have to deal with them. I think z8 wont do it cus they think well its only fair to everyone. Well if u call them lagging and alot of them haking fair idk if i would find this game interesting for much longer.

Could you be a little more specific to why you disagree? I'm not asking for restrictions on all the servers just one. I spend A LOT of money on this game, my player profile http://clan.z8games.com/charstat_cf.aspx?usn=3720063, why shouldnt I be able to play with only players with local pings. I am sick and tired of being lag shot, IE: someone from south america or Europe shoots, I jump behind a wall then die 1 sec. after the fact. This is not acceptable period... -

I don't think Z8 should enforce a North American only server, because anyone should be allowed to play on whatever server they want. But they should definitely have at least one server for the most popular playing areas. North America, South America, and Europe would probably be my first choices.
What Z8 should do is label the servers for what country they are in, for example, All the Alpha, Bravo, servers etc. could be named North America 1, North America 2, etc., and the UK server 1, UK server 2, etc. could be named Europe 1, Europe 2, and so on. Just like they should call a South American server South America 1.
In other games you get auto kicked from the match if you are above a certain ping, like 150 for example. Enforcing a minimum ping would make gameplay alot more enjoyable as far as people not teleporting across the map, but it may push away some of the players.
I live in Florida, US and play on the UK server sometimes, which is halfway around the world, and my ping still stays in the 120 range. Some people are just blessed with faster computers and faster internet than others, but being on the server closest to you will always give you the lowest ping. -
