this is what Greycloak said but he is wrong, it is the game or this problem would NOT be happening to this many people, thank you for trying but i don't think your a very good person for this type of job, leave it to proffessionals cloak.

this was my first post made on this problem, and we still have no answers. i suggest you so called "moderators" and "adminstrators" to get your butts on the job! we need some answers, and we would much like to start playing crossfire once again. -
MODs have nothing to do with it, I have the same problem but please don't cry for MODs/Admins to do their jobs. If anything it's the game developers.
Maybe then the mods should stop saying the problem is player side and admit their company messed up and it's server side >.> -

I've tried all the fixes , i keep checking back to see if there is a new solution.
I was told its a router problem: I don't have a router, directly to dsl modem
was told to update directX to 9.0: I've been running 10.0
told to uninstall/reinstall: failed to fix
told to run a clean boot: the only processes I ever run on start up is anti virus, turned it off, failed to fix
I have a new HP desktop, with windows 7 64, and an awesome internet connection 55 ping ave.
I'm not usually one to b!tch and complain, and I'm not trying to point the finger to thoes that are trying to help. I just feel these patches/servers need to tested fully and not rushed into a launch just to increase cash flow.
no one is going to pay for ,or buy zp for a game they can't access .
a helpful hint for thoes that have this problem. I've been able to stay in game by going into a clan server and sitting idol for about 3 min. the switching to another server and sitting idol for another 3 min. It works most of the time and this way it doesn't mess up stats if you get dc

Same with me before this stupid patch i could play buy now every single time i try to go in a sever it says "Disconnected from sever" then i try again I get in a room right about to click and it says it again then finally when i get in a dam game it was it again this is worst patch i have ever seen it never happened to me before and now i can't even play z8games fails....

I want to play crossfire... i want to play the game... BUT You guys did something to the patch .... WHERE about most of all vista users can not play the game. i dont care. BUT delete the new patch and try it again. i cant even get on the game......

Dang your smart i support you... I wish someone would listen to us..... its not working at all for anyone... well vista users.... WE DC IN 10 seconds for no reason.. and only happened after the new escape mode patch.. delete it.. now -

I think that it has something to do with the gameguard or HGWC client side of things. I don't know for sure, but it did work for a while for me when I ran HGWC.exe in compatibility mode for Win XP. But now as it turns out, even some with XP are also getting disconnected. It isn't because of full servers, I was in a half full channel, west coast, half full Bravo Server, Alpha Server, e.t.c. It happens within a minute at the most, "Disconnected due to Incorrect Map Info" "Disconnected from Server". It's not a router or modem issue, I know this because someone else plays crossfire off the same modem as I do, and through a router also. Is it a COMPATIBILITY PROBLEM???????? Is it a HGWC or GameGuard PROBLEM????? I have done all that has been suggested on these forums, uninstalled...turned off A/V, re-downloaded new client, deleted all the files and folders of crossfire, including the remnants, did a full registry scan with three registry cleaners after deleting all internet history, manually deleting all the cookies, deleted all temporary files, and rebooted the computer. I then re-installed the game, rebooted again, started playing it with my A/V still off, and "Incorrect Map info" within one minute of playing. There is something seriously wrong with this game. I am getting really worried, because it's getting to such a point where i can't contain myself any more.... stuff it, I'll play COMBAT ARMS........... -
dont even bother people,these fckers are just interested in stuffing their pockets with money from zp users,nothing else,thats why they have a company policy not to kick/ban any hacker that buys a lot of zp,they dont want to solve nothing really,they dont care,just as long as they get paid.

Sorry Z8, but the problems have been ongoing. I think it's the HGWC , i.e. the Hacking GateWay Client that's having all the problems, but it seems that you don't really know what the issue is. Simply, people will just stop playing it, and no more money will come in, and then there will be no more CrossFire. Oh well, someone else can profit I guess. When are you going to listen? HGWC...... has a BIG problem. Check it. -
I am really tired of this. I don't need to do anything new with my computer to get it to start working. Z8 is supposed to make the game so that people can play it on whatever OS they have, without adjusting their router settings or other stuff like that. It's not our fault for not opening port whatever. It's the developers' faults for not creating the progrm to a professional level of quality. When people give you money, they expect the best. NOBODY is going to pay for a game that can't stay connected for more than 10 minutes. "hack tool has been detected" "disconnected due to incorrect map info" "server is full. Please move to another server" Ive gotten all of these & more for days now & i can barely play. Im seriously liking the idea of a stable console game.

Meh... I always pick the worst time to rejoin a game after a long absence...lol.
Anyway, I'm glad I checked beyond the initial post before I started fooling around with my modem and firewall settings.
I haven't played for 4mnths before yesterday, and this started happening this morning *sigh*

I played everyday and I thought I was lucky that i dont get this errors...I was wrong! I just had it today, After an hour of playing, its like it doesnt make me play anymore...I only get to go inside a room then get disconnected...and worst, i think the game kinda destroyed my router!! my internet went on and off when my modem works fine...this all happened today when I started getting errors!

This is funny cause, it's been awhile since this patch is screwing **** up you think they'd re-patch since this error is on a mass scale. Plus I wonder how many people they will lose before they relize that many of the people like myself are regular ZP (large amounts) buyers.
You guys needa find out what got tweeked and re-patch cause it's a server side issue I'm not gonna cry say I spend Real Money on a free game so stfu and fix it. ZP comes with no strings attached purchases are final and open to future error I get that. I found some great relaxation and enjoyment with this game after work when my gf isnt around. It's not my life but its a fun little piece. Please fix this >.> I DC constantly to point I can't play and its always at night -.- -

If you happen to be running vista, try running HGWC.exe in compatibility mode for Windows XP. It works for me, but I still sometimes get the error messages, but not nearly as often. Really, at the moment, there is no ABSOLUTE SOLUTION, but these are things that you can do to 'relieve' the addiction. If Z8Games cares enough, I'm sure that they will be working on looking on the problem aspect of the game, which is the Hacking GateWay Client. That is what is kicking us, "Incorrect Map Info," typical of an edited map rez. "Hack Tool Detected ()", for whatever reason, maybe there is an application that runs in the background that has system-wide "hot-keys" enabled. "Disconnected From Server"...... the Hacking GateWay client is just disconnecting us for whatever reason. OR............. the servers are that messed up that they can't guarantee a continuous stream of data coming to our computers....... MAYBE. Who knows? I don't. -

Loading -> 5 minuts working fine, 1 one minute to end the game and ! Disconnect Due to Incorrect Map Info ... Ns Game
