But, that has worked for 2 days :-( .
I was playing for 3 hours (just before this post) when I got "Disconnected from Server" .
then I re-launche the game, and AAIN thiserror, in the lobby. Then i re-launch, and "Incorrect map info Disconnect from Server" ...
I didn't do something special, it is like the first time. i play, and BOOM, I got disconnect and I can' t fix the problem during months -
well if i can't get this working im going to quit cf. i might get on when i go to a friends place but i barely go. and so i also want to put out there that ppl who care bout the Win/Lose ratio or kill/death ratio is going to get mad because of this. when the game work or im getting complete matches i mostly win. but because of this my win/lose is 27/91? i noe my lose is in the 90s i just checked but i forgot the wins and it was low. I also wanted to start a clan and compete but due to this i can't. so just putting this out there this problem can affect yur numbers in players. and i dont think its my router i think its the server.

Hello,
What do you mean by "adding" those ports? Do I need to add them to the port forwarding thing? If so, how do I do so? I can get to the my set-up page, and have successfully put my computer on DMZ, but I don't feel comfortable leaving it like that and would like to try this solution.

Alright after further testing, putting my computer in DMZ did nothing and I am still receiving the error. This is a basic outline of my setup:
Dotted lines indicate a wireless connection.
Normal lines indicate a wired connection.
Are there other settings that should be changed on any of these devices in order to make this error cease to appear?

cant the problem is someting in the new patch??? i think it have done something on the computer since after i installed it i coulnt watch youtube or do anything on facebook
cant the cf staff check what in the patch that made it like this?????? and then take it out or figure out away with it ..
or you can just change it in the new patch so u dont need to take down the firewall and work -
Incorrect map info
Hey guys.. i've tried disabling my router's firewall... but when i looked up the manual, nothin about firewall was mentioned. later i googled my router's model (Linksys-BEFSR41) and i found out thet it didn't have an integrated firewall and i still get the "Disconnected due to incorrect map info" and "Hack tool detected". Please help, i dk what else to do. -

omfg..same problem..wtffffffffff seriously..since the recent patch every time i start the game it fkin gets closed automatically for 4 reasons..
1-) Disconnected due to incorrect map info.
2-) Disconnected from server
3-) Hack tool detected
4-) crossfire run time error(shows up some random code and closes)
and da solution for dis is to configure your router settings and some complicated shyz....seriously z8 games you think we would do all that just to play your game ? y da hell cant we ever play one proper game ?
You knw hw g4y it feels wen ur acing da game and it gets disconnected and u loose all ur EXP... i never had so mch problems playing a online game..and before the patch i had absolutely no problems xcept the ping since deres no servers in china..
please FIX THESE ISSUES ATLEAST NEXT PATCH......it seriously feels horrible..wen u wanna play and it wont work! -
guyz i solved this problem by connecting to internet with a usb wireless stick (belkin brand)on my desktop. i have 2 comps at home. with my laptop i can play without any problem on wifi. but on my desktop i used to get this incorrect map info error although i changed the settings that are given here.i tried to play on 32bit xp and also on win7(32) and i had the same problem on two o.s. so i just bought a belkin wifi usb stick and now i can play without any error on my desktop. so if your router has wifi function try to play it on a laptop to check that if u have this problem on wifi connections too. if not buy a wifi stick for your desktop. it worked for me...

Just placed my computer in the DMZ Zone; I'll see if the message occurs again. Thanks for the fix though.
Btw, if you know what you're doing, you shouldn't worry about security vulnerabilities etc, just have Windows Firewall and a good AV on and you'll be fine.
