Disconnect Due to Incorrect Map Info/Hack Tool Detected

So... i have been playing with the same router, computer and configuration for a year and suddenly (and casually after one of your patches) my configuration is not correct?.
And the solution you provide is configure my router to allow INBOUND connections to my computer to fix a problem in a OUTBOUND connection?.
Do you really think you nailed down the bug?
It happens on both inbound and outbound connections. Listen people, I'm just a volunteer and I'm doing my best to find out how to enable you guys to play the game. Personally I use a Linksys WRT54GS router and have no problem at all. Don't take my head off about this. Every indication shows that computers that are directly connected to a modem have no problem connecting to the game, so yes...it is a router issue. -

Don´t miss-understand me. I'm sincerly grateful with your efforts to give a solution based in observation but the issue is far from being solved. I hope the "solved" label in this thread doesn`t mean that z8games closed the ticket.
And now, my own experience.
If i login and go to play to any UK server (i'm euro) i use to get droped after 8 or 8:30 minutes from login. Then i have to wait a few minutes to log back or i get insta disconnected.
If i login and go directly to clan server and hold there for 10 minutes i can play with no problems. Obviously my router have the same configuration so ... no router issue.
After patch i play with no problems. Next day problem went back.
I hope this helps to track the issue and find a real solution. -

Can you anwers me? I played CF over a year with same router and same configuration.( No problem at all). After patch, disconnect from server with same router and same config. now... are you saying that patching change my router's configuration? think about it >>> -
If you even bothered to check the entry in the common solutions thread, you would see that I included instructions on how to enable uPNP in the windows firewall as well.
Besides, all of the relevant information that I collected has been given to Saidin to forward to the developers. If there is anything happening from the game's side of things they will be able to pinpoint it with this information. -
Thread updated. It appears that certain routers have very strict firewall rules, and are blocking the necessary ports. If you are not using a router, it's possible that the windows firewall is blocking the connection. Refer to my post in the Common Solutions thread for details on enabling universal plug and play for the windows firewall. uPNP will allow the game to communicate properly.

I have a question about cross fire. I have an Acer aspire one netbook, and i've been told you can't play cross fire on them, but cross fire will let me play one match then completely kick me out when i go to play the second match. Is there anything i can do to fix it? I hope so, because i really like cross fire i just get tired of having to restart after every match, and this is the only computer i have.[MOD]Greycloak wrote: »Unfortunately it isn't that easy. Since all routers are different it's impossible to make a guide that would cover every single one. Like I said earlier, if you use the link in my signature you can get to the Crossfire IRC chat. If I'm around when you join I can help you sort it out. -
I encounter this problem of diconnected/hack-tool... three to for times a day,but i learned a manual trick to solve this problem. I used to have only one account but now i have two accouts so that when i encounter the disconnecter due to incorrect map/ hack tool has been detected problem (usually my regular account), I sign in the other account, play one game ,and go back to my regular acount to play 7 to 9 games before i face the problem again, and then i apply my little trick to solve it. if the router is the problem, i have one router so why the problem pops up in one of my accounts (regular one) but not the other.

Thanks for your help, I was able to play CF after the DMZ solution. However, what I did notice after enabling DMZ was that after about 2 games, I would randomly receive fps spikes to about 5-10 fps - resulting in me having to restart the game after and repeating the process again. Is this a side effect of enabling DMZ and having my network more exposed? Or is it a completely unrelated to DMZ?
