Z8Games has once again taken strides to improve the game and keep the hacks and hackers down.
First X-Trap has been patching numerous times. These patches for x-trap are working on some of the issues our players have been experiencing. XP64 should load the game fine at this point. And we are working with xtrap to find a solution to the mouse issues that some of our gamers are experiencing.
However this is not all we are doing. Today, we will be starting an automated detection and discipline process within our game. We have done this once before however there were holes and problems with the way we approached it. We needed more time and more technology to make this new process happen.
Unfortunately we can not go into full disclosure on what we are detecting. This would give an advantage to the hackers themselves. However we ask for your trust and understanding that we are able to detect a multitude of hacks that are being used in the game. But in the interest of complete disclosure and to stop the frustration, this process is not going to stop every hack 100% of the time. So please don't run around and make a bunch of threads with "there's still a hacker in the game". This process is ongoing and always evolving. So lets keep that in mind before the raging ensues.
We should also include that this auto-detection and auto-discipline process holds no reservations on the type of user. Whether the user is the highest level, or has the most ZP items. Or is an alternate account, or whatever the case may be. If you hack in the game, action will be taken against you.
The discipline process will also remain private. Mostly because over time this process will change. We will be starting with a set 'period of time' ban for the account. As we move forward repeat accounts will be met with harsher punishment. We can also tell you that this first step is going to affect a lot of people. Which is disappointing for us, but necessary to make sure that everyone who hacks this game understands that we can detect it, and take action against you. We take this situation very seriously and are not stopping until we're satisfied.
We log every action that happens on a players accounts. So repeat offenders are just as easy for us to find as the hacks themselves. So you have been warned (again).
This process is also happening in addition to our regular hack checking and banning process.
We understand that to some, the punishment may seem like we aren't doing enough to the hackers. To respond to that, Z8Games would like to make everyone aware that we are working with the tools we have to create this automated process. We want to change the mentality of the people hacking in our game. To one where if you hack you can't get away with it. And as mentioned, over time, the process will change and modify as it gets better, less hackers appear and the game cleans itself up.
We hope that you see the work that we're doing and that this next major step taken will help turn the game into a much more enjoyable place to play.
bahahahahaha actions will be taken eh lol ive reported like 20 people and you never even replied and those ppl are still in the game playing....

If your reports haven't resulted in bans then the person didn't hack, you didn't report using the new system or you somehow managed to mess that up.
Not to mention we're already seeing the effects of this on every Crossfire-related page, good or bad.
Hackers being banned and crying about it everywhere. -
So let me get this straight...
Basically they did an update that'll do an ingame detection for hacks like back in the CS days?
When they scan your whole computer, and if they found something, they'll boot you and ban you?
If so, then I'm gonna marry Z8. Too bad its on the internet. -
Finally, thank you very much Z8Games the moderators for their work, but I have a question, what happens to players who are accused of using only hack out of anger?
be accused of defamation?
I have only this question ^ ^
sorry for my bad english... im mexican XD -

they can NOT do that it is illeagle to do that as many cases have happened with that where lawsuits were filled and won on that. IF they do Z8games will no longer be around. (invasion of privaicy i beleave was the grounds for that)
also NO PUBLIC BAN LIST = NO PROOF OF BANS! the only way your going to get things done is by one of two things.
Banning Network Cards
OR
Banning Brazilans
Only way the hacks will be cut down.
Sad but true
I know there are Brazilans That do not hack but they are a small minority. sorry about the collateral damage!
or just start re-routing Brazilan IPs to the Miami Server. as they will get better pin and others wont QQ about it as well as cut the lag. ONLY let them join rookie/miami/clan
PUBLIC BAN LIST = DETURENT!
I used to be able tell my friends that said "that games full of hackers like "C***** A***"! " and I would point them to the ban list saying "At least there busted and ban ASAP unlike that game" I don't mean to rage but no ban list = no way to show the public that action is being taken and done!
please bring it back! -

No. They cannot scan your computer, but they can detect any processes
that may alter your game play, in this case, hacks. They aren't aloud to
scan your computer, plus, that would make it so Crossfire would take about
an hour and a half to start up if it had to scan your whole computer.
Banning Brazilian players wont cut down the amount of hacks. You're stupid
for suggesting that, kid. -
Melanie2342 wrote: »It isn't saying we aren't strict on hackers....I think they are just trying to give people second chances. They probably realize that a lot of the hackers are just little kids trying to have a bit of fun, and when they see that their actions have consequences....they won't be messing around with hacks anymore.
If you're actively running cheats, the consequence is getting off the game. Little kids won't learn through compensation -
I'm going to theorise this detection method will block the obvious cheats such as speeds and possibly the suicide-thingy.

The solution to poverty is not nuking Africa. The solution to cheating is not nuking Brazil. -

The "hack detected" error message is a badly translated error and could mean many things. It is separate from this recent action. You can submit a support ticket though if you feel something is wrong.
Ok thanks dude.
